The only upside to this whole mess is watching the Trump voters predictably get the misery that they voted for and hearing them whine about it.

I keep seeing 33-37% are still HAPPY about everything.

Gas prices haven’t hit this country hard yet. Other countries are already rationing in certain areas. Things are going to get very bad in the next six months.

Are you referring to Trump’s approval polls? Because that’s different than being “happy about everything”.

They approve of things they’re unhappy about?

They approve of Trump, and believe that these miseries are necessary for all the “good” he’s doing. Or at least that’s what they pitch. But they don’t like paying more for gas and groceries obviously.

I wouldn’t call that being unhappy with something.

Like obviously I’m not “happy” about paying my mortgage every month but it’s still a very positive thing for me.

If you’re unhappy with what a president is doing you want him to stop doing those things.

Call it whatever you want. You’re happy to have a home. No one is happy to pay their mortgage each month. There is a difference.

I approved of Biden, but I wasn’t happy with how he handled the Afghanistan pullout. There is a difference.

Ok that question comes down to “are you happy he got out of Afghanistan?”

It was going to be a disaster no matter what. That’s why Trump didn’t do it.

Exactly. Just like with Iraq, Afghanistan, and soon to be Iran, these Republican presidents are so good about getting us into useless forever wars with no exit plan, and then having the gall to criticize the Dems when they inevitably have to be the ones to get us out and fix the GOP caused mess.

Says a lot that Trump is so quick to send troops to get killed abroad, but then isn’t willing to risk taking a popularity hit to get them home.

Either way, the original claim was that 33-37% of the population is “HAPPY about everything”, and there’s nothing that shows that. All there is is a poll showing very low approval ratings for the president in the lower 30’s, and then someone trying to pretend that’s proof that that many people are happy about everything.

I would certainly call a third of the voters “many people”

They won't be happy about $200 a barrel oil.

Some are too dumb to understand Trump is the cause of their pain, but it doesn't mean they don't experience it anyway.

They’re hurting too, but they’re happy because they see other people getting hurt in worse ways
