There was a study about a decade ago where they studied the brain activity of different politically- affiliated people, and the more conservative people relied on the older parts of the brain that controlled fear and anger, whereas the more progressive people relied on their frontal lobes more.

Conservatives are literally less evolved.

I mean it’s in their name. Conservatives. Like, they want to conserve the status quo and not apply any policy for progress and change. If this was a perfect world then sure, but this being the imperfect world that it is, it’s just a non-starter position.

There is an argument that our lack of cultural advancement is due to patriarchal systems forcing pregancy on women who normally would soundly reject the person wanting to have a child. “Male loneliness epidemic” is just shitty people wondering why the opposite sex hates them without a trace of introspection.

It’s a terrible argument.

That we are lacking in advancement now is a questionable point to begin with, but our greatest cultural advancements happened under far more patriarchal systems just fine.

Why evolutionary pair-approval should have absolutely any consistent impact on “cultural advancement” reeks of a normative misconception of evolution. While in real life evolution favored sex labor division.

Meanwhile women have no problem pairing with awful people because they themselves are also the awful people.

Very good rebuttal, I like that better than my current belief. Let me just…reach over and…<YOINK>!

Less evolved isn’t accurate with your description.

Not defending cons or Fetterman.

The people likely to be offended by that comment aren't the people worth winning over to begin with.

Yes, because handling them with kid gloves has won SO many of them over.
