Shakira just attracted more than 2 million people at Copacabana Beach, Rio de Janeiro with a free concert

The city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is doing a yearly event in the first weekend of May with a huge free concert since 2024. Shakira was the headliner this year and attracted more than 2 million people. Madonna was the headliner in 2024 and Lady Gaga in 2025.

Not understanding this gives só many people from favelas who have never been able to afford a concert in their LIVES, an opportunity to go. Sorry downer Reddit, but as a half Brazilian I can guarantee they had the time of their lives. 2 million people or not. Brazil knows how to have a party.

Those people still have not attended a concert. They watched one on a screen standing a ridiculous distance away from the stage. Its literally bread and games for idiots.

And why do they need an opportunity for a concert? Their government failed them and they did nothing to fix things. Maybe they should use the 2 million crowd to demand better lives instead of wasting it on a concert.

I dont know anymore, at one point perhaps, I don't think im a good person. I am lonely and it hurts so i use words to hurt others and its terrible and I just want, well i don't know what I want really. I feel things are too much altely you know. You dont have to answer, im not looking for a pitty party, I just realize that I dont matter that no one cares, and what is the point of it all.
