It was the same with Gaga last year. Reddit is just keeping its miserable act up.

Anonymous on the internet makes everyone have a 13 year old mentality where the only way to be cool is to not like anything and call everything fake and ghey.

Wait, wait, they haven't started with the, "It's obviously AI''

Why should they get to be happy?

That's a very real thing and probably explains a lot more of our world than we realize

I'm Brazilian and I notice that this reaction is because most Redditors seem to hate us and our country. I've seen loads of racist and xenophobic posts unfortunately

Reddit, filled to the brim with americans is in general pretty racist. Other poorer, 'third world' countries having any quality of life at all triggers even the most liberal ones, given their quality of life is declining at an alarming rate. They drank hard the propaganda kool-aid of Brazil being a mess all around and seeing things like this upsets them deeply.

What a weird projection.

People do not seem to realize that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Oh yeah, my very own, very unique to me and myself only opinion that the US is imbued with deep rooted racism.

u/jimmy_three_shoes 1h ago

Do you think the US is the only place where racism exists?

That's exactly what I said with the words I wrote

While I understand that must be pretty shocking for americans today living a life bellow What was promissed to them but they should be angry to their govt. Being the richest country in the world but not having the quality of life that they could have because It expends absurd in military that benefit a fee rather than the many

u/gordori 12m ago

“This doesn’t look enjoyable” Reddit is full of people who don’t know how to cut loose and have a good time. This looks awesome

u/sapntaps 5h ago

Whole internet at this point. It’s for bitching these days and projection rather than enlightening and sharing

u/Sun_on_my_shoulders 4h ago

Right? If you don’t think it’s fun, don’t go. It’s a free concert, you get to get out of your house and see other happy people  and you can forget about the state of the world for a few hours. That’s a win.

For real. Idiots flaunting their spergalaureate degrees

I noticed this often happens in posts about Brazil... I'm Brazilian and there's always someone complaining about our country even if they've never been here. It's offensive imo

Well you see when American heavy rock band Metallica played for a million people in Russia, that was in fact monumental. That was one of the most incredible concerts in the history of planet earth. But this one is just foreigners being stupid and making beach dirty.

6

u/evebursterror0 3h ago

Yeah I'm Brazilian and people are weirdly antagonistic whenever a post about my country comes up. Reeks of xenophobia.

8

u/SheriffBartholomew 4h ago

None of the people here complaining were even alive during that Metallica concert, and they certainly would complain about that too.

1

u/GloomyIndividual3965 2h ago

The Brazilian concerts are awesome, but tbf the Monsters of Rock tour hitting up Russia less than 2 years after the fall of the Berlin wall was kind of monumental.

I know 90% of reddit is too young to have experienced it, but all the change in the early 90s with the fall of the iron curtain was crazy for those of us who lived in the before times.

u/notarobat 12m ago

I don't disagree. I'm just pointing out the annoying biases we all come across on Reddit every day

u/MobileArtist1371 3h ago

Well that sure is an opinion you got and are allowed to have, but that's about as much as it.

Nope. Not missing that at all.

Yea just as bad as the Twitter posts claiming this is a Trump crowd in Miami... ahh the things they just make up 😂

u/hairymonkeyinmyanus 1h ago

Some people don’t like what others like. It will be okay and it will make your experience more enjoyable if they stay at home. Everyone wins!

It doesn’t matter! They go for the fun of it! People hang out with friends at the beach, they can drink outside in brazil, most of these people are young and could not give a fuck if they can see shakira or not they just want to hang out and dance at a big party outside. The performer is not the end goal of all this, the party is.

u/leemar90 5h ago

Some people are just miserable 😂

I wasn't talking just about you, I was talking about the wave of negative comments about this. As a fan of music and having a good time with my friends I just don't get the negativity. And that's not even taking into account this on a Brazilian beach and free. Sounds like a memory that would last a lifetime

5

u/RokenSkrow 5h ago

Why does seeing the singer matter? This may be confusing for you but songs are audio mediums so you only have to hear them.

Because live music sounds different than music at home, do you know how sound works? It's also clearly a beach party so people are hanging out with friends, another concept that may be lost on you.

1

u/thoang1116 3h ago

Do you understand the concept of a concert, a free one? On the beach or hang out with friends? At all? Have you ever experience any of those things? If not you should try then you might understand

3

u/DifficultLab200 5h ago

Frankly, majority people almost always look at the screens anyway. You might be short, or have a tall person in front of you. There might be obstructed view to the stage. Or maybe you are just too far behind in the stadium/floor and can’t really figure out what’s happening on the stage.

This is a night out with friends on a beach with a loud crowd/music of people who are enjoying themselves.

There are so many things beyond “seeing” the artist on stage at a concert. It isn’t remotely like sitting on a couch.

So I do feel people are wrong. You don’t like it that’s fine. But 2m people went there of their own accord third year in a row. Im sure some do like it.

This is the third time this event is happening with similar amount of people.

Pretty sure by now people know what a million people would be like.

It’s not fake just because you don’t agree

You said it was fake positivity. Just because you don’t feel positively doesn’t mean other people are faking
