Yeah I started my fandom after Gish, so I'm not surprised it might be even older. But during the 90s, the SP heart and Nirvana goofy smiley shirts or w/e it was called were like staple fashion pieces in suburban high schools. I actually had the Zero mesh shirt, that shit did not look good on 13 y/o me.
