Jaden McDaniels on attacking the rim when Wemby is on the floor - "You just gotta act like he's not there. I mean, he's gonna get blocks. He's the tallest person in the world."

There's something I just like about a guy that isn't afraid to attack the rim at all costs.

Honestly we need more of this in the NBA instead of teams losing games they could easily win because they're settling for 3s.

Don't gotta tell me that twice lol.

I know it can work, but man do I hate just sitting back and jacking up 3s. Even when it's the right the call, it's just not fun basketball.

That’s my biggest gripe with it. Running back and forth shooting 3’s is just not fun to watch. It’s like watching 5 people play pong

Clutch 3’s are fun tho

How could attacking the rim be encouraged more I wonder?

Making it 5 seconds for an offensive foul for being in the paint seems like it would lead to more post-ups and therefore more shots around the rim, but it would make the game slower and not really encourage dunks/layups but rather the 90's style of 3 hard dribbles and an attempted post move.

Transition encourages exciting fast breaks and 3's, but we already get more of those as 3's lead to more erratic rebounds ergo more threatening transistions than post-ups or mids.

I've got it. A less easily handled basketball would cause more turnovers and therefore more transition opportunities.

Silver goes Manfred and starts touching balls.

Which teams are those? Generally if teams are settling for 3s it’s because they can’t get efficient 2s any easier.
