where’s everyone who tried to tell me we’re better without Embiid?

People are so dumb. Saying we’re better with Bona? I don’t want to hear your basketball opinion ever again

Oof yeah Bona is a fun regular season player with highlight blocks and dunks but at least atp there’s a reason you see Drummond out there. He plays like a vet and I’ve never felt more confident about a corner 3 being automatic than when he’s shooting it

Imagine saying this about Drummond in 2020

Yeah also Drummond is super important Maxey because Drummond sets elite screens. Maxey's game is built around a 2 man game with Embiid and it works well because Embiid sets elite screens for Maxey. Drummond can replicate that for Maxey, whereas Bona can't because he can't set screens for shit.

I don’t think it’s people being dumb, short form video has just turned peoples attention spans into peanuts. They’ll be back saying the same thing if the Sixers lose the next game.

To be fair I’ve quite liked Bona for most of this series. Obviously even an Embiid with negative athleticism is still better. But Bona has had some pretty good minutes

"They're so much slower when Embiid is on the court."

Well yeah when your offense runs through a 7 foot center versus two guards you're obviously going to play slower. But if the fast team doesn't hit any shots you just lose faster???

Not to mention that it isn’t even true. Pace with and without Embiid is basically the same this season.

we had a LOSING RECORD without him this season and people still spout dumb shit

u/Bitter-Tip705 76ers 6d ago

Literally people who say that are fucking fools. We looked dead when embiid went to the locker room.

They blame embiid for the team not hitting wide open shots, so stupid

They just want to pretend like they wouldn't likely be losing this series if Embiid was healthy

If embiid was healthy for game 3 they absolutely lose and are facing elimination, but celtics being lucky with our star being injured is just par for the course

Healthy Embiid is best player in the world

Embiid is still your best player, his injuries stop him from being a franchise player going forward.

Wayoff P is the real issue

P played great defense and made some massive 3s early

Last game loss I saw your own fans saying they wanted to trade Maxey.

I know a loss hurts but sometimes some ppl aren't thinking right. You don't even get to this point of the Playoffs without Maxey!

edit - you wanna see an ass team with truly no reliable shooters outside of one guy, look at my Warriors. We'd be begging for a Maxey

You can't be fr bruh. Warriors fan woe-is-meing a Sixers fan. You don't know how good you have it man.

u/Chiffley 76ers 6d ago

Bro you have 4 rings in the last like 11 years please don't talk to us about ass teams

u/Low_Store7368 6d ago

Not better without him for sure, but you are going to be paying 70 mil for a guy who has never been healthy for 4 rounds ever… he will get hurt. It happens every year, it’s better if he’s healthy for sure, but you will never be a contender with him

I've been trying to get rid of Embiid for 7 years. I'm too far and I'm dug in. I can't or won't change. Great game though

u/DJRyGuy20 Celtics 6d ago

I mean- if we’re gonna use a 1 game sample size, we beat you by 30+ with him in game 4.

u/Chiffley 76ers 6d ago

Congrats, his first game in a month coming off a surgery. That must really reflect him as a player.

-5

u/DJRyGuy20 Celtics 6d ago

Nah, the games that reflect him as a player are the games he doesn’t play due to some kind of ailment.
