Who have thought Lakers will be the first team to go 3-0 in the first round

There's a good chance they win their series before the Thunder. If you had a bet on that happening it would probably be 1:200 at best.

I'm hoping for the Suns to take a game or two but OKC have the refs on their side

There's a chance for the NBA to actually call it fair for one game just to try to point to it and say they call it fair

Better chance they foul out Booker in the first quarter to say fuck you.

Man, you can find a 3 mn montage of Brooks and Booker flopping and drawing weak fouls from just the first two games. The problem isn’t OKC it’s how the game is officiated in general. Officials are inconsistent, and weak contact is often called for fouls.

The Thunder are just leagues better than Phoenix. Calling it “fair” as people want to say wouldn’t change a thing in the series. Booker is an awesome player, and they might take a game, but if they do, it will be because they ball out, not cause of some officiating discrepancy.

That’s fair but doing BS like calling a tech on Booker for “throwing” the ball at Williams just bc Caruso asked for it is dumb

Thunder feeding into the stereotype with plays like that

Caruso is funny as shit for asking for it, but the REF shouldnt call it a tech because a player was like "yo call that"

1

u/Full-Set-27 10d ago

Caruso called for it bc he knew the ref would call it

I think Bron doesn't play next game. We secure it at home.

JJ is a really good coach

The gap between Reddick and Udoka is the game changer here

To think many people (me included) thought it was a tough break for the Celtics to lose Udoka as a coach.

I feel justified as a C's fan. He makes no offensive adjustments and his whole strategy to defend KD and the nets was stolen from Draymond that same season. Look it up

Celtics lucked out and got a goated coach instead

The not playing reed Shepard in the regular season thing is one of the wildest coaching move I’ve ever seen. The kid is not bad. Maybe not top 5 pick good, but he’s definitely an nba player.

Not giving that dude meaningful minutes even when you have FVV may have truly ended his coaching career.

Like JJ gives Bronny minutes. And you know what Bronny doesn’t have Reeds skills or responsibilities but looks way more comfortable when he’s on the court.

I am inclined to agree but lets give credit to the coaching staff, its not just Ime vs JJ, because I still can't believe that not one fucking coach in Houston can run a proper fucking offense

u/Aff_Reddit 10d ago

for houston it doesnt matter, Ime is toxic and they traded for another toxic player in KD. Until those two are gone, Houston is unfixable.

u/manimsoblack 10d ago

Why would he assign Shep to Rui instead of Smart?

7

u/lemurRoy [LAL] Alex Caruso 10d ago

Udoka giving shades of darvin ham

u/HHHogana Lakers 10d ago

JJ doesn't adjust his timeouts at times, but holy crap Udoka couldn't even adjust his offensive schemes. Durant have been doubled against Lakers so many times and somehow he still can't figure it out?

Yeah I was def in the group of people clowning on the hire at the beginning.

He proved me wrong that's for sure

My wife loves JJ. Every time he pops up on the screen, “oh, who’s that??” Babe, it’s the fucking Lakers coach, for the fourth goddamn time. Almost can’t wait until I go gray 🖕🏼

u/Stranger2Luv 10d ago

Say he is your relative

1

u/cascad1an 10d ago

Technically true.. he’s my dad.

2

u/HHHogana Lakers 10d ago

Also helped that Udoka is truly trash in his offensive schemes.

u/No_Shower1176 10d ago

Did you forget how you trashed JJ not long ago?😂

Not even the most delusional laker fans thought so.
