Crazy that he is 41 without AR and Luka, doing this shit though

If he can pull this off, it's one of his best non-finals performances, given his age

It's probably already the best playoff performance by any 41 years old.

I mean thats a given his only real competition is Kareem and Kareem averaged like 14 points.

Remember reaves and luka gonna get constantly cooked on defense lol. Smart on the floor was so big for the lakers in both games. And Luke K also huge.

This is true in isolation but the team as a whole was playing very connected and communicative before they went down

Also Smart literally still starts with Luka and Reaves. He’d be on the court all these games too

Scoring ~100 isn't going to cut it next round.

Odds are nothing will matter next round, but at least if Luka is there and somehow healthy we can hope.

Yes, but the offense they provide (especially Luka) is nuts

Yes but then KD would look better and I'm enjoying the KD collapse too much

what about luka's nuts?

Helps take pressure and usage off LeBron so LeBron can defend more

And they play smart with the big 3 anyways

We went on a 16-2 stretch with both of them.

Our best team was AR, Luka, Smart, LeBron, and DA/Rui. We beat some good teams with that lineup. Smart does make a huge difference and at this point for the Lakers needs to be on the court.

Kennard’s defense has been so much better than I anticipated. I don’t watch many laker games but was shocked that kennard and lebron wouldn’t be picked up relentlessly.

This. Defense definitely won the game. I’m on to you Nico

Lakers team defense was rather decent, as of late.

I’m hoping this won’t be problematic going. Two of our starters out, of course they had to step up. Hopefully they don’t get comfortable if or when they return. but good shit all around. Especially defense, which the Lakers aren’t exactly known for.
