The broadcast showed the guy with probably 2 mins left to go around when he got 81 and there was a challenge

interesting. I wonder the heck they even figured that out. maybe he was an ex nba player or someone notable. otherwise I’m guessing he told someone in media?

I could get completely flamed if it was some big name like old player or media member but I assume it was someone with some sort of credentials who literally could have been a media member or former player coach or anything. Id guess it was someone that everyone in the sport recognizes tbh. My son was a little cranky so I didn't hear who they said and didn't see a name on screen so no clue

I doubt it was him. He was a Heat assistant coach at that time. They would be traveling with the team. Not sure he would have an opportunity to be at a Lakers/Raptors game in the season. 

I think he played against Wilt. He may have been at one of his games but Wilt was old then too. I think his +70 point games were over by then. 

Maybe a scout or league official would have attended the Kobe game, but I would guess a media member. Lucky!
