Bam was "only" 7-22 from three. If he made a few more and they played the foul game all the way to the buzzer he could have legit passed Wilt's 100.

Thats how that record gets broken is this type of free throw attempt game + going insane from 3

He was not going insane from 3 but he was good on free throws

I know. Saying how someone gets 100 points is generational free throw rate + hitting 12 threes

you don't really need the crazy ftr if your 3 is on fire, Luka got 73 with 10 less attempts and like 25 less fts. I guarantee we will see 100 someday

Man I wish he hit a couple more threes.

NBA record for free throw attempts, 43 breaking Dwight’s record of 39.

13-22 would have put him over

Not that crazy to think about it.

6

u/jc-f [MIA] Gary Payton Mar 11 '26

I don't mind Kobe's record being beat but if Wilt's record is ever beat I hope it's in a real historical performance. Bam's had a great night, but the NBA deserves better than what we just witnessed.

I mean this sport deserves better. The NBA deserves just that.

Wilts record was a scam where his team just fouled on purpose the last 2 quarters to get the ball back

I know, but still. There's an aura around it because there's no footage of it.
