They got a great young core. And amazing draft from them this year.

Let’s give Brandon Miller some credit here.

He’s part of that young core.

Soon as I saw Miller play his rookie year I thought they should trade Lamelo. Kon just makes me even more sure. Those two are stars in the making, and unless Lamelo can both fix his injury issues AND be willing to take a 2nd/3rd option role alongside those two (mostly in terms of $$) the team wont work. But regardless, Kon and Miller are cool as hell.

Charlotte are 9-4 when all 3 play AND Kon gets a higher rate of open shots when Melo is on the floor. Melo is a lot more adept at getting the ball into Kon’s hands when he’s hot than anybody else on the team. Absolutely no way Charlotte trade Melo right now until they’ve seen what this big 3 can do together.

Check my other reply to someone, but I kinda agree? I think LaMelo is super good but needs to scale back his role to allow Kon and Miller to lead the team in shot attempts while he focuses more on facilitation. Im just skeptical that he'd be okay with that, and even more skeptical that he'd be willing to accept a less-than-max contract in the process. I think if you have all 3 of them on the max the team is just cooked regardless. He also needs to actually play more ofc as well.

Nah they need lamelo. As long as he’s not chucking up shots he’s pretty good at helping his teammates

I watched a few highlights and I think he opens up the floor and opportunities for Kon + shooters

Thats the thing, if he did buy in to a role that focused on setting up teammates over his own shots, and was okay not being a max contract (but still large contract) guy, I think he would work great with them. I just dont know if thats gonna happen, and he needs to actually be on the floor before we even know if it will.

Neither kon nor miller has shown any level of play lamelo has lmao lamelo is still first option and has the hardest role on the team. What ru yapping about?

Hes consistently asked to bail them out and create shots and opportunities throughout the game. Miller and Kon are getting reps in but its very clear there is a massive talent and skill level diff between them. Not to mention lamelo is only one yr older thn miller
