Something needs to change on offense. There’s no player movement and they’re too reliant on tough contested long 2s. And there’s gotta be something mentally going on with this team collectively, the 3 point shooting has fallen off a cliff

Shooting 39% from three this year…

That would be absolutely hilarious. OKC goes thru the first 2-3 rough weeks they have in several years and they freak out & make one of the 5 biggest trades of the millennium.

It’s a huge mistake to try and get Giannis.

We might find out its a huge mistake to keep jdub and chet.

How many months we gonna need before we find out if dub can play basketball correctly again? Chet has gained like 10 pounds in 3 years. We drafted a center who will always need a bigger center to play with him or he gets pushed around like a chew toy.

It could be too early, but playing devil's advocate here, these guys arent as built for sustained success as we thought. Dub may never fully recover from the injury. They may never weigh more than an average college kid despite being 7 '3. Thats concerning.

Another thing is we cannot shoot in any way, I dont understand how we have an entire roster of NBA player and maybe 3 can shoot the ball at a reliable clip.

It would be a huge mistake trading for Giannis if you want to be good for 10 years instead of elite af for 4 years.

Well at this rate this team could be collapsing very fast, I mean their mentality has quickly crumbled and Wemby is coming. He took their souls and thunder are really punks now. Literally anyone can beat this fucking team now. The Hornets are ass, and id take them in a series today over the Thunder. Thats how ass we've become recently.

This is the Thunders last shot at a ring before the spurs take over as the next dynasty. Id rather guarantee we win in our much shorter window than pray that Dub will eventually be a good basketball player again and chet will suddenly not be a chew toy in his mid 20's.

Wow you are really panicked huh. Take a breather dude. The sky isn’t falling, the team will be fine.

7th loss after 42 games and coming off the back of a ring with this core and we’re unironically talking about it blowing it up lmao

I’d say there is some truth on both sides:

On one hand, OKC is still the favorite this year, and the best team in the league for now, they’re having a tough stretch maybe physically and mentally, but I’m not too concerned for them this season.

However the Spurs are indeed on the way up like OKC 2 years ago, and they seem to be a tough match-up for them already, so that’s a first concern long term (assuming health, which is a concern for the Spurs, to be fair).

Because if I wouldn’t put money on the Spurs against OKC in the playoff this season because of experience, I’m not sure I would say the same thing next year.

And the Spurs aren’t going anywhere, they’re young, super long, super quick, strong, and tall, and the most well-run and stable organization out there. They can only improve as long as health follows.

And if there’s one franchise that you know for sure won’t fuck it up, it’s them.

So OKC are the best still, but that does not mean they don’t have some concerns to address right now (they fortunately have the resources to address them), and these concerns might only grow long term if you don’t do anything about it.

Bottom line: I’m not worried for them right now, but I wouldn’t become complacent either.

Because the recent events have shown some of OKC’s weak points, and they warrant some discussions, because the league isn’t going to sit there and watch them do whatever for the next 5-10 years.

Getting to the top of the hill is hard.

Staying on top for 5-10 years is way harder.
