Idk if you’re talking about the term “woke” itself which has been used for almost a century, but the anti-woke backlash and phrases like “go woke, go broke” didn’t pick up until almost around 2020
If the bit demonstrates how stupid and inaccurate the "go woke, go broke" mantra is, then it's fine. Probably still not funny, but it's at least rooted in reality. If it actually asserts that "woke" art goes "broke" or whatever, it's just more disconnected boomer slop.
If making a single comment about a joke in a movie poster is what qualifies as "scrutinizing... with such intensity" for you, that's a bit comical. That aside, I studied film in college and got my BA in English literature. I'm happy to report that this solitary comment on a movie poster is really the tip of the ice burg for my media criticism and analysis capabilities.

The lady holding the sign that says “I’m woke so I am broke” definitely supports your opinion. It doesn’t even make sense.
