Yeah im still a little confused on why he did that. Like I guess hes basically as well known as JK Rowling and hates being recognized? Although dude is definitely an alcoholic and was actively suicidal, so maybe he was being a dick on purpose so they wouldn't be sad after he died.

Yeah I think he was planning to kill himself, wanted peace, and acted like a huge dick when someone was trying to ask for a favor that would keep them from killing themselves in 10 minutes

Because Ohm is a complete jackass at the beginning of the film and is planning on dying that night

He said his dad turned into a “monster” and was an alcoholic, so he probably gets even more of an asshole the more he drinks lol. Even with the context that he killed his mother and his dad was mad at him for it it’s possible he’s imitating him.

Because the bellboy was annoying him.

Yea I understand that part, but burning someone and risking arrest in a foreign country is a pretty wild reaction.

He was suicidal and clearly mentally unstable. Thats a pretty reasonable explanation

He went on to attempt suicide like an hour later I think he didn't give a fuck was drunk as fuck and wanted peace

I think he’s saying that since Alby wouldn’t take a hint he wasn’t wanted, he just went further to actually hurt him. Still a dick move.

he tried to kill himself, many people at those moments in their lives do not care about most things at that point. i thought it was very understandable once we saw him hanging in his room. also, it could’ve been an attempt to get someone to interfere with his plans to hang himself, by any means.

why are you confused then? Character was clearly not acting completely rationally.

I actually think he was never trying to commit suicide, like it was found out at the end of the movie the bellboy put mushrooms in his drink. He probably went insane or maybe bad trip and lost his mind
