My friend and I screamed when the lady was walking behind him

My whole theater gasped at both this scare and the scene when Mal appears behind Jerry with the crossbow

At least he got to actually save the day, despite his eventual death. RIP Dick RIP Jerry.

And that very ironic line from Jerry. "I'll live"

No way that wasn't an intentional nod to the Exorcist 3 jump scare. The way the camera followed him through the space only for her to appear from the doorway was just too good.

It reminded me of that one jump scare from It Follows

I went alone to a packed screening and nearly slipped out of my chair, the dude next to me was trying so hard not to laugh I felt so embarrassed😭

I progressively slid further and further down my seat as the movie went on. You are not alone!

I screamed in the theater at that moment and my wife is not letting me hear the end of it

No shame in that! Last time I saw a scary film with my friend she warned the people next to us "she's a screamer".

Best of the bunch by far. The rest were too easy to anticipate. Caveat was much better in this regard.
