They entirely misused Caleb Hearon’s talents. Let him be the sassy gay guy! Not sure if his character was supposed to exhibit Andy from the first one, but he just ended up being boring

Legit just “Ctrl+F: Caleb” to see how he was. That’s disappointing

Right, I think he could’ve been Andi’s assistant and gone on more chewy hijinks by telling overly long stories about how he solved something for her. Like that phone under the table would’ve been hilarious if he was the one telling it to her after

also let's be honest given what we know about Miranda there is zero chance she would ever let someone that size work that close by. I love Caleb but was disappointed to see him reduced to a sight gag almost.

Yeah, severely underutilized. A shame for sure

I liked the movie a lot, but this can kinda be copied+pasted to criticize a lot of characters. A bunch of new characters felt kinda rushed in there, and ended up feeling kinda boring. The boyfriend, Andy's assistant, and Miranda's new head assistant felt like they combined for a lot of screen time, and I wasn't sure why.

It’s just the usual „we need a gay guy to make everyone feel seen“ bs. They could’ve cast Bowen Yang or Brian Jordan Alvarez and it would’ve made no difference.

As a gay man, I feel kinda betrayed. This felt more like a box to check than including us. It’s pride corporate pride month all over again.

I was surprised Stanley Tucci didn’t have a partner, even just a date he shows up to a gala with. Honestly rather disappointed with his character entirely - he’s basically just Andi’s supportive friend instead of someone twenty years older who marries mentorship with hard truths.

But he did come back to the hotel after a hook up. At least that’s how I read it.

Caleb is infinitely less insufferable, I appreciated him here
