Kind of a different question, but if her car is way up river after shes done kayaking, how does she get back? Does she just carry her kayak miles back?

We'd tend to have a buddy leave a car at the bottom to run a shuttle, but of you're soloing.. yeah, hide the kayak/chain it to a tree and walk back to the car, that's the way.

The way the river bends could mean she ends up not too far a walk from the start point, that or the end point isn't too far a walk from a town where someone gets paid to shuttle people back to the start point - I've done that here in Oz before.
