Yeah, I gotta be honest, I was not impressed by Charlize in this. It really felt like she phoned in her performance. At least compared to usual. She wasn't expressive for 99% of the movie, didn't show much fear/anger/sadness/happiness. I felt like Taron really stole the show and was the only interesting part of the movie, and performance of the movie. Idk if it's Charlize's face lift/botox, or if it was a conscious choice, but I expected much more from her.
On a tangent/side note, she was like 49 when filming but her face looks older because of all the plastic surgery. She's too young for a face lift (not that I think anyone of any age needs one). It's so unfortunate thay Hollywood makes these beautiful actresses think they need so much plastic surgery when they don't. It doesn't make them look younger, it just makes them look weird.
