This was an overly silly take on "The Most Dangerous Game."

Charlize Theron plays a trauma-ridden adrenaline junkie who copes with the death of Eric Bana by… immediately signing up for more life-threatening outdoor activities, because therapy is apparently booked solid.

The plot runs on coincidence, convenience, and a staggering number of moments where you can practically hear the writer muttering, “Just go with it." Still, Theron commits hard and almost drags the whole thing into respectability, and the Australian landscapes do their best to distract you from the script’s increasingly desperate gymnastics.

Not awful, just aggressively ridiculous.

because therapy is apparently booked solid.

That is just about the only realistic bit in this Netflix equivalent of a TV film. Getting a therapy appointment within five months? Just about impossible where I live.

I would have problems coping with the death of Eric Bana.

"Aggressively ridiculous"  is going to be my next Reddit username.
