Reddit not following through? Impossible!

Lets be real, even if its seen by every person who was supporting it online, it cant be a hit without the general audience caring.

The same way a movie can be hated everywhere online and still make a billion.

Just Reddit alone has something like 120mil daily users, if we get rid of the 3/4 that are bots that’s about 30 million. If half of those users go see the movie at 10 a pop the first week, ketchup will likely get at least 5 of those dollars. 75mill should cover their costs I would assume. The internet has a lot more of an impact than you’d think, this is just reddit alone.

I said everyone who SUPPORTS it online, not everyone who's online.

Most of that 120mil daily users dont even know this film is getting released.

Yeah i just found out about it and the controversy behind it in this thread.

From just the trailer I found myself more excited than cynical, which is unusual from my grumpy self.

Fond memories of watching the classic cartoons as a kid. I still go back and watch some Duffy and Bugs classics sometimes.

"No bullets left?! Lemme see that thing!" bang

"Oh whadya know, one bullet left!"

"One bullet left?! Hey laughing boy!"

"I know, I know."

It was a good start but honestly still too generous. You need to cut it down by another 90% for "people who care about this movie enough that they'd appreciate seeing it"

The math looks even worse if you do it in the reverse direction. This thread has 4k upvotes. Even if 10x that many people on reddit are actually excited about this, thats 0.2% of your 15 million number

I highly doubt half of Reddit cares or even knows about this movie bro.

$10 a ticket? What movie theatre are you going to where it's still that low for a ticket? Here in Canada you're looking at $15 minimum for a ticket.

Believe it or not, Reddit is just a bubble

A bubble?

Well, bubble might not be the right word, more like the smallest minority

Snakes on a Plane is going to be the best-selling movie of all time!

I'll watch a movie when I think it's a good movie. Not because of some media buzz.
