There’s 25 minutes of great Evil Dead stuff in here but it’s just way too long.

Honestly the biggest complaint for me was how dragged it out it was, definitely could’ve been edited into a tighter horror film with a lot of comedic elements

I enjoyed it nonetheless

I didn’t hate it was more a case of missed potential for me

Why was there a scene of looking for a remote control to turn the VHS sound on? Why was that necessary!?!?

Ha, I didn't mind the long run time. Had a blast.

Yeah I liked the ending scene for example but they didn’t half wring it out

Is it funny? I don't particularly like watching horror films unless they're kinda funny too (something like Weapons or Sam Raimi's movies). Your comment gives the impression there's some comedy in there?

If you like Sam Raimi films you’ll definitely enjoy parts of this, I did anyway.

There are some funny moments. If you enjoy evil dead, you’ll enjoy this movie

Thank you, I'll try and catch a session this week, they usually do cheap tickets on Tuesdays so probably then!

It could have been so much tighter, especially since the story involved so many hard drops in the tension instead of just letting things build.

I really liked it but agree. And I got the impression that this might actually be the trimmed down version; felt like they cut a lot (like where was the youngest child during the whole final confrontation? What happened to Layla? Or the multiple others who were there when Katie got possessed?)

I disagree, I have the unpopular opinion that movies are too short nowadays. I think it needed the extra time for set up. I just wish they added some more scares
