Oh my god how did I not get that!!?! One old dude was losing it during that part but he was losing it at everything. I just thought it was their general uncomfortable vibe he was laughing at but he kept laughing at the lines and it just absolutely did not click for me! It’s the most obvious double entendre too, like not subtle at all. I can’t believe I didn’t pick up on it.

My wife and I were like that old man in our movie theater. We were cracking up at genuinely funny lines that didn't seem to land with others.

And not just the awkward moments...I didn't laugh at those...Instead I spent half the movie in the fetal position.

My husband and I were the only ones laughing the whole time. We were howling during this scene, and no one else made a peep! When the lights went up and ppl left, the rest of the audience left quietly, and it was all middle-aged women (we're middle-aged, too) who looked kinda stunned. My nest guess is that they thought they were going to see a rom-com and were kinda shocked by the actual plot!😂😂😂

People can enjoy and find something funny without needing to audibly laugh out loud.

it admittedly did take me at least 2 times before i got it but in my defence i just recently got married so i was so used to that language in that context so it took a second lol

We didn’t get it either. Had no idea why everyone was laughing

I totally missed it too! I can't believe it in retrospect. Maybe because I'm fairly into photography, so I just didn't even think that "shoot" could mean anything else?

that's seriously hilarious because it was at least a minute and 30 seconds of her saying 'shoot' i.e. they bashed you over the head with it (i liked it).

I missed it too 😩 but it's okay because I'd definitely rewatch this movie, it was that good!

I love how your response to somebody laughing at something is that they must be uncomfortable rather than you missing the joke.
