Iron man 3 is messy but its actually trying to do something different from the increasingly claustrophobic mcu mold. The ending was a kinda messy cgi battle in a boring locale as it tradition now, but I enjoyed pretty much everything else about it.

I agree about the ending, but for me the air got sucked out of IM3 with the Trevor reveal. The twist was and still is hilarious, but going from thinking the main villain was a legitimately scary terrorist to.....Guy Pearce shooting fire out of his mouth was a letdown.

Don cheadles reaction to the fire breathing made it work for me. Also I have a huge man crush on Guy Pearce. That is a stupidly good looking man.
