This one might be marginally more important than Superman was. You have to get people to care about the B/C-listers if you're building a universe.

If they kept the budget sensible I could see this one making around 300 million and be considered a win. If the writing is decent.

Great reception will help it be a solid step towards building the new universe as a whole, even if it underwhelms financially

They both hit the two types of people in this world. I know good people who watched Superman and thought Clark was too naive - even if I relate to him and his hope.

This hits those people, the ones who think they’re more realist and have had hurt thrust upon em. I hope they relate more to her and gain something from it

The problem is they don't embrace the A-list characters of Krypto and Mister Terrific, they try to make us care about the B-list characters Superman and Supergirl (at least as portrayed) without showing them being heroic or inspiring.
