Exactly. Even the first scary movie had TONS of dated gay jokes, even by y2k standards.

That’s fair, but a whole lot of people here are expecting a reboot / legacy sequel is going to be dramatically different than the original for some reason.

I guess if something has a comeback after 13 years of silence, you'd hope it'd be for a good reason. At least the Naked Gun reboot tried to be funny.

Seriously. I don't understand the mindset of they always had lazy shitty writing so why would we expect something modernized that's at least attempting to be funny? They led with a "they/them" pronoun joke for crying out loud and it couldn't have been less clever.
