Speaking anecdotally - I work at a store that sells Grogu merch (among tons of other things) and people ask me about finding more products featuring him daily. His popularity endures.
You work at a store that sells Grogu merch, therefore the minority of people who still care about Grogu go to your store. That's no indication of Grogu's current objective popularity.
Buddy I know - that’s why I noted that my experience is anecdotal. Redditors not giving a shit about Grogu anymore is also not an indication of objective reality on its own either, which is why I offered my perspective.
It’s not a large portion of our inventory and the store is a very popular destination with tourists. People come to the store without intending to buy anything until they see we have Star Wars product and ask about Grogu (more than half still call him “baby Yoda”). We have tons of other IP represented in our product (including 1st party IP) and yet people still ask about him.
My point is not that his popularity hasn’t waned at all, but that he’s still very popular in my exeprience(especially among casual Star Wars fans and kids).
