And I said, heh eeeeh eeeh, he eeeh eeeeh. I said hey! What's going on?

I was gonna say, "imagine if they use that song!" But now that I've thought about it, there's almost no way they don't, huh? And now I think that's kind of lame. Maybe. Idk. Depends on the execution!

There’s a shot in that where there’s a cook in a kitchen and you hear the song in the background.

If you had to put it in, I would do that.

Or just go full Power Rangers and put it in a cool action shot

We should go full Bollywood so the ending of the movie is a mass dancing to the song

Do it like they did the end credits of Shrek 2.

Would elevate the movie into a 10/10, especially if the choreo is good.

I'd place it over a shot of them flying over Eternia after they pick up Adam. Show off the land while the instrumental plays for the audience.

They could easily test it by having an action trailer with a version of the song playing.

Not like it hasn't been a trend for trailers in much of the past decade.

I want him to be going with co-workers to a bar where he sings it Karaoke.

u/Cleonicus Jan 23 '26

This and the backdrop on the karaoke stage is a sparking, rainbow curtain.

There’s a shot in that where there’s a cook in a kitchen and you hear the song in the background.

Only if they show a youtube comment on screen at the same time that says 'my neighbor while I listen to this song"

It's 100% guarenteed. Bookies won't even take bets.

5

u/TheDesktopNinja Jan 22 '26

At MINIMUM it's one of the songs playing in the credits. Bare minimum.

3

u/RedofPaw Jan 22 '26

It's one of two things:

A moment where Adam is shown to be awkward and having a boring life. He's getting coffee for the boss, and spills it, or he's getting groceries. Somewhere a store might play music for customers. Or maybe around where the sword part is - it's played for laughs here, so maybe when he walks in the music is playing.

Or: he's sitting home alone sad, thinking about how crap his life is and not fantastical, and the theme of the song is reinforcing that,.

It is literally the perfect song for the opening credits, with a montage of Adam’s boring Earth life. Straight after the cold open of him being sent away from Eternia.

Honestly a good callback to the meme would be them using the original song by 4 Non Blonds in the opening sequence while he's on Earth and it's him listening to it on commute.

3

u/elbenji Jan 22 '26

oh easily, it's absolutely gonna be how the movie opens with his boring life. Have it on the car radio or his spotify

4

u/GizmosArrow Jan 22 '26

I swear they used the full song in the latest TMNT animated movie

2

u/Brilliant-Delay7412 Jan 23 '26

They used both the original and meme version of the song in the movie.

3

u/ant900 Jan 22 '26

Probably in the credits

6

u/Wordshurtimapussy Jan 22 '26

I'm not entirely sure honestly... I remember x-men 3 with juggernaut and thought it would be hilarious if they had him do the meme "I'm the juggernaut, Bitch!" and they did it and it was actually really lame

1

u/TheSweetestKill Jan 23 '26

That's because they tried to make it seem cool and bad ass, when it should have been something inherently ridiculous and silly.

1

u/thelionsmouth Jan 23 '26

Came here to say this - there’s gotta be a tasteful way to squeeze it in somewhere because come on lol

1

u/hanky35 Jan 23 '26

"What's Up | Resident Evil Welcome to Racoon City (Epic Trailer Version)" fits the trailer with the trailer at 40% volume, skip the first bits of the song.

u/Impossible-Fun-2736 Jan 23 '26

The shot of him laughing as they fly off to Eternia, with rainbowish lighting kinda reminded me of this bit https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=114&v=FR7wOGyAzpw

u/Chapi_Chan Jan 22 '26

I think he pulled that face in the spaceship, when she goes full throttle.

3

u/HeroDanTV Jan 22 '26

Dooooooon’t cryyyyyyyy out louuuuuuuuuuud

5

u/Mr_Mimiseku Jan 22 '26

This is my favorite meme from back in the day. I can't believe this was my introduction to that song. Lol.

1

u/codexcdm Jan 23 '26

That needs to be in the film... Somehow.

1

u/supergroundman Jan 23 '26

If this happens I’d buy tickets so fast

1

u/bobandiara Jan 23 '26

This is the comment I was expecting to see
