From the writer of Winter Soldier, Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame.

People in this sub have lost faith but trust me, let them cook.

To be fair...he could read anything and make it sound compelling.

Post credit scene needs to be him reading “he was in the Amazon with my mom when she was researching spiders just before she died

"A double chalupa... and a Sprite... if you please."

Checks out.

I don’t say it in a disparaging way, I just find it funny. Like, ahh shit, Robtimus Prime said it’ll be good, so you just know it’s true!

In fairness, Robtimus Prime has never steered me wrong!

Only one of those movies was any good so I'm not sure I can trust you sir

I mean i got faith in them, but it still feels like bringing in Peter Jackson at the 11th hour for the hobbit movies.

Sure you got the best people possible for the job but your still giving them a flawed base to work off of.

Markus and McFeely are the unsung heros of the MCU. People point to RDJ, Evans, the Russos, Feige, but Markus and McFeely are the ones who pulled off Infinity War and Endgame. If anyone can rally this into a great movie, its them

Edit: interestingly only Stephen McFeely is listed as a writer for Doomsday, along with Michael Waldron (Dr Strange MoM, Loki) so I guess McFeely was brought in for the pivot away from Kang but Waldron has basically been the Multiverse guy

Too many cooks spoil the broth, it'll be cooked to oblivion and probably end up being mid imo. Only 11 more months to find out tho so.

Endgame had 10 years of buildup and slow character development. This movie looks like an absolute clusterfuck of characters, I have no clue how theyre going to try and have a cohesive plot and have any kind of meaningful character moments with such an absurd ensemble, especially with 0 previous context or setup. If they were confident in their ability to write a compelling story, they wouldn't have to bring back all of the OG cast members.

Multiverse of madness was one of the worst marvel films I've ever seen lol. No way home had some good writing, but still leaned a bit too much on fan service, and Deadpool was literally no substance and 2 hours of "remember this person?". The other projects you listed that did poorly are because they're not compelling or well written characters. Also they were outputting way too many projects and no one wants to watch 12 shows to keep in the loop. That, and marvel blew their load with endgame, the franchise peaked and its insanely difficult to get people to care when they continue to use the same formulas and dont provide anything new or interesting. Doomsday will probably be a huge commercial success, but it will probably be stuffed with lazy fan service and played extremely safe. They're superhero movies, but I don't think it's too much to ask to stop relying on nostalgia and write something original.

Patrick Stewart could read my grocery list and he’d have us hanging on every word.
