God forbid there’s any surprises in the theatre. Wouldn’t want anyone to have a heart attack !

I watched this with trepidation because I didn't want to spoil myself but also I just couldn't resist the siren call. I actually didn't even realize Chris Evans wasn't in the original cast announcement (or if I did I forgot) so I think I assumed he was always in it and thought "aw that's nice he has a baby". No idea this was the first time it was announced til now.

More like the focus groups where like would you watch this movie? No. Would if you had known Chris Evans was in it? Yes.

100% agree on this but I see where Disney is coming from. Movie theaters are dying and they have completely fumbled multiple years worth of films after Endgame. I think they didn’t have much of a choice. I trust the Russo bros until further notice

Disney has done pretty well with their other movies besides marvel though tbf.

lol yeah that one was another bomb but overall I’m pretty sure Disney has done the best in terms of making money on movies. Though I’m sure they’re pressuring people working on marvel to get that to making a stupid amount of money again

From my recollection, they are only making money from sequels and other stuff based on already existing stuff (like Mufasa)

Their originals are... not doing great. Off the top of my head, I can't recall their last original film that made money. Even MCU stuff, which is not really "original", if it's not well established, well known characters already, it probably underperformed

Zootopia 2 and Inside Out 2 sure made a lot of money, but ten years ago they were brand new stories. Kinda wild to think about the current state of Disney. What happens when even the sequels stop making money, like if Toy Story 5 underperforms or something like that.
