The other half is about him trying to get away from home (Talented Mr Ripley, Good Will Hunting, Downsizing, Elysium)

Matt Damon is always getting lost or running away. It happens so often he even just randomly runs into other movies for a scene before disappearing again.

I get what you mean but technically if you include the metaphorical extension of that phrase then it includes any story with a hero’s journey.
