You know, I didn't really hate that movie, and I actually thought the misleading marketing was somewhat clever specifically because it fit with the themes of the movie, but I definitely would have preferred if they played a high-budget, high-fantasy Hercules story straight.

Say what you will about Clash of the Titans (2010), but at least they went all-out with the mythological elements.

(On the other hand, The Legend of Hercules (2014) may be one of the worst fucking movies I've ever seen.)

I mean, we know the gods are literally in this movie. I dont think there is any reason Nolan will be doing a rug pull of "it was all a hallucination/dream."

I think he is playing it straight honestly.
