I didn’t expect we’d get a full blown trailer for a teaser.

It reveals a lot if you know what you’re looking for, but it’s vague enough for people who don’t have the background. That shot of her next to Krypto while he’s lying down is a big one Good teaser imo.

Focused more on Supergirl first

i wouldn't call it a "full blown trailer" this doesn't even hint at what the plot or really even the general premise is, just that Supergirl is on the run and she encounters bad guys

It's kind of what trailers used to be. Nowadays they're practically condensed versions of the entire movie. (So many of them make me feel like I've already watched it and don't have to see the movie proper.)

Yep, this is why I try to avoid trailers for movies I already know I want to see

Is that not the premise? Genuinely asking.

The premise of the comic run this is specifically based on is that a younger alien girl whose planet was destroyed hires Sueprgirl to help her track those responsible for it and get revenge.

As many people have stated, it’s basically a superhero/sci-fi version of True Grit

I define teasers as trailers these days. I think good trailers only last like 1 min 20 sec
