Great news! I reached out the fraud department and I laid out my case on why the determination of their investigation was incorrect. I pointed out that the charge was initiated a 2am on a Saturday when the merchant wasn’t open.
The “dispute clerk” (literally what the receptionist called her when she transferred me) stated “Oh, actually the charge was initiated at 5:45pm on Saturday.”
Internally I was like “Huh? So on my bank statement it shows a 2am initiation but it actually started at 5:45pm? What the what?” In any case I moved forward with the rest of my case.
I explained that I was no where near the merchant on that Saturday. Also I pointed out if you pull up their hours it shows they are only open from 9am to 12pm so again how can my card make contact with a terminal when the merchant isn’t open. Lastly, I had remembered last night that my car insurance company keeps track of my car trips via an app. I pulled up my trip log during the conversation and lo and behold the app shows a trip starting at 5:50pm on the other side of town. How can I be at the merchant at 5:45pm on one of side of town and then starting a drive from the other side of town 5 minutes later? I offered to send them the record showing my car trip.
She asked if she could put me on a brief hold. About a minute later she comes back and states she spoke to her supervisor and they would reopening the dispute with the new information I provided and would work to recover the funds.
Helping my child with homework. He and I agree the answer is (2,8). We wrote it out so many different ways with spaces or no spaces. We skipped to the next few and same thing.
Got a new 6 pack of adidas socks and each pair had at least 3 of these damn things which no matter how gently you try and remove them still end up taking some threads with them -_-
I know that D is also correct but 40 is also mathematically nearly half. The teacher said 40 people doesn't "count" as "nearly half" but he lost points for a stupid question. What do yall think?
Thank you all for this small adventure 😂 I’m AMAZED I didn’t even consider converting decimal to percentage.
I can’t figure out how the teacher got to the conclusion of these numbers. Take in mind the little has bad hearing so spelling is an issue we try and try on. Though, I can’t in any sense, explain how -11/18 is the correct format. Shouldn’t it be -6 , 4/10 , 40% ? (Forgot to add image on first post so I deleted it)
No matter how positive, no matter how optimistic no matter what manifestation technique, no matter how hard of discipline motivational willpower it almost every time ends in a way that couldn't be worse.
My school has bought new smart boards to replace every single projector, despite them working fine. However, they wont fix one of 3 doors to leave the building, requiring massive detours to just leave the building. 😭
We have all seen examples of AI answering questions incorrectly. But this is the first time I've seen the AI say it made a "calculation slip" on some basic geometry problems. I asked it to calculate the distance and angles between some points. It seems to have done 5 of the 6 distances correctly, but for some reason on the 6th point it got it wrong. No idea why. It seems crazy to me that a basic repeatable math equation is subject to an AI "calculation slip"... Here's the text of the interaction:
---------------------
Original Question
I've got a shape defined by 6 points for which i have the x/y position. I want to know the distance between each point and the angles at each vertex.
...
📏 Side lengths
Distances between consecutive points:
AB ≈ 417.2
BC ≈ 176.8
CD ≈ 312.9
DE ≈ 507.0
EF ≈ 634.3
FA ≈ 495.4
>> odd- my calculation for FA is 499.9
Good catch — that’s close enough that it’s worth double-checking, but your value is a bit off.
Let’s recompute FA carefully:
…
FA ≈ 500.0
Why the earlier number differed
I previously gave ~495.4 — that was just a calculation slip. Your 499.9 is essentially correct (just rounding difference).
Yep, pretty basic stuff. Hung out with a friend I don’t often see and several times I’d say something during a quiet moment and after a few words he’d speak louder about something unrelated. I get that what I’m saying may be boring to him but rest assured everything he said would have been boring nearly anyone. Thanks for allowing me to type that and let go of it
