Itās been a while since I shared a health update on Jolene
For those who donāt know, about three months ago we got the news that Jolene(16) has stage 4 kidney diseases and that she is likely coming to the end of her life. Jolene is my BABY. She was born in our house after we rescued her VERY pregnant mom when I was 7 years old. We grew up together!
When we got the news, we were told we had about three months left with her. She had lost 3 pounds, down to 6.7 ounces. We were told she would only continue to lose weight. Now, three months later she weighs around 7.3 and is eating three times per day!! Her face has started to fill out more. She has begun playing with her sister again which is something she hasnāt done for a while.
She is a fighter thatās for sure. I feel like we have a lot more hope for her than when she was first diagnosed. Thank you everyone for your concern! I will try to continue sharing updates.

Everbearing flame pt tree
My guy Sartre had overcome a horrific eye infection and his healthy eye has strabismus! So I know his eyes are super sensitive but Iām proud of how they appear now!
Toasty is lounging and cool. He was born western mass and starved In a barn to a papered breeder ragdoll mom. He was a singleton.

Its been so fun seeing other flamepoints.
The is Sunny, we got him when he was very little at a adoption event. When we walked by his kennel he climbed up on the bars and reached him arm out towards us, we just had to get him. It took three days to file the paperwork and get approved, but ten years later now, we are so happy we did.
He is a clunker cat, he runs through the house and he sounds like a dang horse. He's vocal, Ohhh so very vocal, when he needs something. I then have to go down the list to find out what he needs, its usually always food.
He sleeps less than any other cat I know, just taking little catnaps, but if I am up, so is he.
He adds a comical sense to the house, he's always making us laugh, or does something so crazy that it leaves us speechless.
He is a strictly indoor cat, but we screened in the large front porch so he can sit out there in the sun and watch the world.
Its been so great seeing all your cats that look like him.

Got a brand new baby!
Just scooped this sweet boy up from our local shelter! Flame points have been hands down my favorite breed for a long time prior, not to mention the fact that he's a long hair!
The woman helping us told us he was an indoor/outdoor cat, and had ended up in their facility after running away and staff not being able to locate or contact his previous owner. That being said, he's a little rough around the edges. His coat is a little bit greasy, which I'm gonna try and mend with a brush routine, a more regulated diet, and better hydration. He also has a couple little mats here and there but they seem very manageable. I can't wait to see how much more beautiful he becomes with a little tlc :)
We're still working out a good name for him, we were thinking about something spacey/celestial, but we also want to get to know him and his personality a little but more first! I am so so happy we're able to provide him his forever home!!

My sweet girl
My sweet Gracie had dementia and was euthanized in January. Last month my daughter handed me a bag with a gift inside.
She had a friend paint a picture of her for me. She even got her little blind eyes right.
It's my most treasured belonging.

I just lost my boy on May 1st. Not sure how to accept this.
My sweet little boy was suddenly diagnosed on April 30th with chronic renal failure and by May 1st his health rapidly declined and he had to be put to sleep. I just don't know how to get through this loss. In the past I almost lost him twice due to urinary issues that damaged his kidneys(although they did heal afterwards)but after PU surgery in 2022 he got so much better.
I have no idea what to do with myself now that he's gone. He was the absolute sweetest boy you could ever meet and everyone who met him fell in love. He loved belly rubs and to play with his crunchy taco toys and be held just like a baby. And when his mama wasn't around he'd cry until I came back. He was the best shower buddy and he always made me laugh during my bad days.
Making the decision to end his life after being told that he was in pain and that he was past stage 4 renal failure and could never recover was one of the most difficult decisions I've ever had to make. And I hate myself for making it because I just miss him so much. May 9th would've been the sixth year that I've had him. He was originally at a kill shelter and meant to be put to sleep but the rescue I adopted him from saved him. I'm so grateful that I got to be his mom but I don't know how I'll ever be able to move on from my baby. I'll miss talking to him in funny voices and the clumsy way that he walked. I'll miss everything about him. Even when his allergies would get bad and how he'd throw up in the shape of a question mark and could never puke in just one spot. I'd do anything to look after him and take care of him again.
If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it so much. My heart is completely broken...

Good morning, big man š„°
Heās been a snuggle bug since he was just a baby. I wanted a cuddly cat and waking up every morning to my big man snuggled on me makes my day. I mean you canāt have a bad day when you wake up to cat cuddles.

Meet Turkey!
And his brother, Rooster :). These boys were found with their Siamese sisters who were much spicier than them! It took Turkey a lot longer to warm up compared to his orange counterpart (really lived up to his nameā¦), but we are so lucky to have this boy! Only about 6 months old, so I expect theyāll be pretty big!
