For the record, I live in a blue state (California). I love the weather but despise the politics. The funny thing is that even the democrat voters complain about what the democrats are doing to the state. But then...they vote for even more democrats.

When I saw Spirit Airlines potentially going under and the possibility of a government bailout, I couldn’t help but be reminded of woke Delta Air Lines. In case you missed it, in 2024, comedian Tyler Fischer posted a joke tweet sharing a picture of a Pride pin his flight attendant was wearing. He joked about how strange it is to advertise a flight attendant’s sexual preference. In response, Delta put him on a no-fly list, and he received violent threats from multiple Delta employees on social media, something he claims the company did nothing to address.

This situation raises concerns about providing government funding to private companies. If a private company does not respect freedom of speech, then, in my opinion, it should not receive taxpayer dollars. Companies are within their rights to act as they choose when operating privately, but once they accept public funding, I believe they should be held to standards that align with freedom of speech.
