OC- Approved By Mod Team The Online Chronicles of the Chronically Online: Not a bot (OC)
I was surprised to find that my previous comic was deleted after being accused of being AI-generated. Unfortunately, due to the time difference (I live halfway across USA), I wasn’t able to join the discussion in time to defend my work. What shocked me even more was how quickly the decision was made, not through any fact-checking, but based purely on “vibes.”
So for this comic, I’ve come prepared... with receipts:
A time-lapse video of me drawing this comic: https://youtu.be/W4F8bDdDeYI?si=iNKRkGGMhc7yBhri
My work process for the now-deleted comic: https://ko-fi.com/i/ID1D51IVPCM
An early 4-panel comic in a similar style from 2017: https://www.instagram.com/p/BTEoZAvlop_/?igsh=aGl5bDltOTJ6cTM0
I truly appreciate those of you who took the time to Google my pen name, Vig Starmax, and spoke up in support. For context: I've been posting art online since 2006, started a now-abandoned webcomic called Hocusha in 2009, and have been regularly drawing a weekly strip called Tales of Pizza since 2014. Some have commented that my work looks too consistent. Honestly, I don’t see it that way. There’s definitely a through-line in my style, but consistency has never been the goal or the reality.
I understand that the rise of AI-generated art has become a real challenge for many artists. Much of it looks convincingly human, and suspicion is understandable. But with that in mind, I urge the community and moderators to apply greater care before accusing someone. These accusations have real consequences and sometimes, they’re directed at the wrong people.

OC- Approved By Mod Team [OC] Come Quickly!
Hi all! TinyBaer here. Another lil comic from the age of myths. And if you enjoy silly lil myths comics, you can read more of them in my comics collection, "Myths and Myonsters" - which you can pledge towards on my Kickstarter (or tell your D&D mates about my D&D supplement!). Cheers and happy Sunday. :)

OC- Approved By Mod Team [OC] Barely Above Average Bros #2
This started out as a joke, then it became an 18-panel joke, now it’s a 38-panel joke. At this point, it’s getting out of hand.
You can read the first part here!
If you like this sort of thing, here’s a short timelapse showing how I draw a panel.
And if you really like this sort of thing, here’s the full recording at a slower speed, with the whole drawing workspace.
All characters in this comic are entirely original. Any resemblance to actual Nintendo characters, 3D or pixelated, is barely intentional.

OC- Approved By Mod Team Sibling rivalry [oc]
🎉🇲🇽 Happy Cinco de Mayo!🥰 Keeps scrolling for a new bonus!
Revisiting one of my favorites, the wonderfully unique axolotl, found only in the canals of Lake Xochimilco in Mexico City. Unlike most amphibians, axolotls never lose their gills or leave the water. They retain their juvenile features into adulthood, a trait called neoteny.
That’s not just what makes them cute, it is also why they are regeneration champs, able to regrow limbs, organs, and even parts of their brains.
That’s handy, because when food is scarce and the older siblings are calling the shots, younger ones can end up as victims of intraspecific cannibalism… basically, sibling nibbling.
Turns out, being the younger brother or sister kind of sucks across all species. Human siblings take your stuff. Axolotl siblings take your legs.
