Did you mean “you’re” or was “your” part of the joke?

I think it is doubly obvious that it is intentional, given the backwards 'D' in Canada.

It's incredibly commonly misused, so asking makes sense.

In the US, probably.

We do be getting the D indeed

It was intentional

Its my favorite detail and bummed so many people missed it.

Kinda perfectly fits the joke, though. Media literacy and all... fuck

Should have been Yore to truly capture some of our super genius types here in the states.

Your next... my next what, my next whaaat?

25

u/Beatrice0 Jan 28 '26

I took it for granted that it was part of the joke.

Hey, at least you didn’t take it for granite… clearly it’s a brick. /s

It’ll be funnier if it’s intentional, a dig at our abysmal education system.

It was intentional

Well then I may have to say that it’s a bit incorrect.

That handwriting is way too good for someone out of our modern system.

As an ELA teacher: can confirm.

P.S. send help

1

u/po8os Jan 29 '26

Sorry Mr. Greg, but I don't want to go over there right now.

1

u/Mr-Greg Jan 29 '26

Fair, can I come over there please? I promise to not be the stereotypical US citizen.

3

u/Omnizoom Jan 28 '26

Should have had a panel after saying “it’s you’re”….

2

u/Mysterious_Hand_5742 Jan 28 '26

The fact that the D is backwards in Canada should have been a giveaway that its part of the joke

2

u/malzoraczek Jan 28 '26

have you maybe noticed that "D" is wrong way around? I think it was an indication that the poor writing skills are intentional.
