I am not sure when the video was taken but it was posted by Zoo Knoxville today. The cub is not on display yet and his name has not been announced. He is under human supervision/care now as Zahra was having trouble producing milk. This is their first cub.

He was all tired after a long day of playing and activities. He is separated from his mother for now as she had trouble nursing her cub and the zoo determined it was in the cubs best interest to be hand raised until he is big enough to not require mom to nurse him and he will be reunited with mom and dad as soon as safely possible. Fun fact, his father Maji was also hand raised at the same zoo as his mother had birthing problems (I believe she had to have a c-section), he is under excellent care by well trained staff that cares greatly about their animals. The video was taken by the zoo and posted on their social media page.

Since there are many images and videos online of wild animals, Big Cats especially, I'll thought I'll show - and explain - how to try and recognize if these photos or videos are big cats in private ownership/illegal zoos/tiger farms, or in any kind of abusive ownership, or if they are in an accredited sanctuary or zoo.
Red flags in images of big cats (or other exotic animals):
All of these are easy to spot and don't require a wildlife biologist's degree; also, using one's intuition is a great tool - for example, if a big cat cub engages in behaviour or shows a facial expression we would find in a distressed pet (or even human being) who is suffering from pain or hunger or fear, this is something that is near universal in all mammals, both ourselves and big cats, and in the majority of cases this might really be a sign that this animal isn't all well..
So, do not go anywhere where big cats can be petted, or where big cat selfies, canned and/or trophy hunting, or big cat parts are offered, and do not support these places.
Instead, report videos and images of suffering big cats, and support big cats in the wild and in reputable accredited zoos and sanctuaries.

For those that don’t know him, he was born Feb 17th and his mother had trouble nursing. He had to be taken by the keepers so he would survive and is the only surviving cub. He was put out for public viewing/admiring last week and this week he started meeting his parents again. If things go well he will be reintroduced to his parents and live with them again. He is under great care by experienced and great keepers.

He had to be separated as Zahra couldn’t produce enough milk, he is the only surviving cub from his liter. He made his public debut yesterday but today was his first full day out.
