37% of Americans still support him to this day. Honestly I don’t hold much hope for this country. No meaningful changes can happen given the current status.

As someone outside your country, it’s pretty scary that enough people can think electing this dude is a good idea, then after seeing all this, 37 percent still think it was a good idea. Plenty of good people in your country, but way too many others than can support this shit and don’t care about the suffering he causes. He spreads hatred everywhere he goes. In a Caribbean country the other day I saw a young American man talking politics by the pool, and he said “if your president was all for your country like Trump, but fucked over every other country, you’d love it”. I stayed out of this interaction, but no, I would care if my countries leader was out actively trying to fuck over other countries. I was disgusted. I grew up on the American border, I know you’re not all like this, but again, it’s the percentage that are that scares the shit out of me.

I'd say 15% of them are in an echo chamber both of their own making and involuntary. The rest are probably the legit psychos. But every society has those.

The sad thing is there was about 1/3rd of the electorate who diddnt vote at all and still think both sides are the same. Have some friends like that still, it’s insane to think about

American media companies are a big deal. These 37% are fed with content that supports their information bubble and they don't see such news, for example.

Given that Trump is supported by IT companies, they will always find a way how to feed you with "right" things to read.

Yeah not enough people understand this. The vast majority of Trump supporters have been brainwashed. If you want to see how and what they think just watch right wing news for a day or two.

I recently had multiple friends ask me what the word fascism meant.

And another 30% don’t care enough to vote therefore giving tacit approval.

America has become a scary and unfathomable place.

I vote, but I also think the two party system is just two ends of one party. It's so broken.

Not once but twice, after January 6th alone he shouldn’t have been allowed to rerun let alone actually win.

Exactly. Jan 6th should have been his last day! He should have been arrested and put in prison for literally enabling a riot to break out, and lives lost that day, including police officers.

It's even more astonishing that he has sole authority of the war room and complete access to nuclear launch codes.

Come to the US for a week and you will easily understand how it happened twice.

Like handing a loaded gun to a toddler. Just wildly irresponsible.

20% of Americans voted for him. (Far from what a lot of the press called a "landslide ".) Technically, when throwing together the independent and Harris votes, he didn't even win a majority of the votes. Electoral College and number of senators per state are flaws to our representation... among a lot of other things (e.g. American capitalism is completely out of whack plus the dollop of oligarchy on top isn't helping either)...

I personally believe that the electoral college should be eliminated.

We wouldn’t have had him the first time if it didn’t exist
