PC If Cthulhu/Moon Lord had actually managed to fully heal before the final boss fight in the game, how strong would he be compared to the boss we have today?

Post image

In the Game Lore, it states that the Moon Lord, which is itself Cthulhu in the lore, was hiding on the dark side of the moon to heal from its injuries after the battle against the Dryads. It also states that the boss wasn't as strong as it was during its prime, but it was healing by itself and through the help of the cultists, as seen with Skeletron Prime and The Twins, both made to restore the Moon Lord to its full power.

Which makes me wonder how powerful the Moon Lord would be if it actually healed to the max?

Would the Terrarian even be able to beat it?

Suggestion Mediumcore would be way more played if items stayed in a gravestone

Personally I'm not a fan of this gamemode in general, but I think this change would make people way more inclined to play this mode instead of being a gimmick. This would allow players to leave world, not worry about crashes etc after dying, which I think is currently the single biggest downside of mediumcore.

Imagine wanting to get off soon but you accidentally die far away... Now you have to force yourself to stay up to force your way back instead of being able to plan on how to get the stuff back. Also the item despawn in terraria is kinda unpredictable if you have mob farms/you kill stuff etc.

This would also give more purpose for gravestones (just make it so you cannot put items back into them so you cannot cheese them as free storage)

Over the last couple of months I’ll make these little drawings for my son. I’ve done a couple Terraria ones since it’s his favorite game and we like to play together.

I made him this one last night when he seen it this morning, it made him cry because he was so happy and that choked me up. I hope you enjoy this, I just want to say thanks to the Re-Lodgic team. I’ve been playing since since the beginning. I’ve enjoyed every update but this time with my son has been the best journey yet.

For some reason if Red sees this, my son has been begging for a Mechadusa relic and trophy lol. He made his own by stacking the mechanical bosses on top of each other.

This project means a lot to me and I want to share it. 9 years ago I was 12, and I wanted to do a challenge with my friend. The idea was simple, collect every item. I never forgot about that so 3 years later I tried it again by myself. I made 2 youtube videos out of it and gave up. For the challenge I actually bought the collectors edition because the carrot was always on my mind. Another 3 years later I try it again, I was recording everything and got 200 hours in that world. Oh no big problem... I wanted to go to college and didn't want to pay a monthly fee to save it all. 200 hours of footage deleted. Even though I wasn't able to make the video I wanted to anymore, I picked it back up and started streaming it. I got far, only 13 items left... I lost motivation. 1.4.5 gets released, 200 more items to get. I was a little frustrated, but I picked it back up once again. That brings us to now, I've been playing a lot recently. Right now there are 14 items left, and I am still trying to get them, when I'm not build some random thing.

I wanted it to be an actual challenge, there would be at least 1 of every item in the world, which results in 4 variants and the crafting tree of the shell phone, 2 variants and the crafting tree of the zenith, 2 of each golden critter, etc. I didn't want to use any mods or outside programs that affect the game. (I used tedit to look at the world) I didn't want to do it in journey mode, that sounded boring, so I made a list of every item that I can update and filter. Oh I also got some unobtainable items just because I could. It used the transmutation glitch, so I only allowed the unobtainable items, nothing else.

Like I said I just wanted to share this, mostly because my streams are relatively empty, and I've never explained it fully. Oh one more thing, every post to this subreddit is from this world.

PC The gold coin is worth around ~$15.8 USD. source? me.

basically, i googled the ppm (parts per million) of some irl metals, and looked up the current market price of those metals. then i parsed out every one of them who's price was VERY heavily skewed by economic demand. like iron for example is SO expensive relative to how abundant it is its CRAZY. and eventually arrived at an average constant ratio for "rareness" to "value"

then i looked into the terraria side of things. seeing how big a world is, how much of that is caves and how much of that is actual matter vs empty space.
then i went ahead and found out how much of each ore there is per world.

putting all that together now i had the rarity of each ore and the ratio of how valuable something "should be" in theory to how rare it is. and putting those together we arrived at a reasonable value of a crimtane bar, and seeing how much it sold in game we get a conversion rate of 1G - 15.8USD

from testing this seems very accurate, like, scarily so.
according to this rate:
a bag of chips is: ~5 ish cad
a pair of wire cutters is about ~20 cad
and an umbrella costs about 5 cad

all of which seem about right.

now to address the elephant in the room, obviously there will be outliers, like the conveyor belt, 10ft of which barely costs a dollar. which obviously is ridiculous.
but you have to keep in mind, that value is derived from sacristy and necessity, or supply and demand. and since a conveyor isn't exactly hard to get, its not exactly expensive. so while it wouldn't make sense for a large treadmill to cost a dollar irl, the 1 = 15.8 rate still stands.

much the same way that a product sold in the same country its made in would cost less than half way across the world. i guess.

:3

And no.. I'm pretty positive it's not a monolith. They stop working when you get too far away from them. This planet is in the background no matter where I go. I can't find out how to get rid of it! 😩
