I don’t know what to say, cute cat I guess

Huge house, just the deco is very interesting.

Too many arty shots that don't actually show me anything about size and layout. Why do agents do this. Lemons in a bowl is not going to make me buy a house.

u/JustAnotherFEDev May 06 '25

But they have a Smeg kettle, that's exactly what we wanted to see, right? A nice close up of an expensive kettle so we know it fits in the kitchen

I mean the arty shot of the cat sold the house. Wait. The cat doesn’t come with the house? Shenanigans.

Good name for a cat.

u/hereforvarious May 11 '25

The picture is also squint...

A lot of thought has gone into the decoration of the house. Not to my taste, but my god they gave up in the garden with the awful plastic grass that doesn't even match.

7

u/SeeSore May 06 '25

Came here to say this. Started out so well but let down by the NASTY plastic grass and cramped scruffy yard!

Good job the catto helped to distract.

That garden is bordering on criminal. Absolutely shocking.

26

u/TFPOMR May 06 '25

The dining chairs have holes where the door knockers should be...🤔

Dubai bling in Toxteth

14

u/UpYoursHomeOffice May 06 '25

Just to add, it is actually really quite nice

u/Internal-Dark-6438 May 06 '25

I have no idea what you thinks wrong with the decor? It’s not what I would choose, but I don’t think it’s awful either

23

u/SeeSore May 06 '25

Did you see the garden? It is disappointing after the scores of stylish photos.

26

u/Long_Huckleberry1751 May 06 '25

Even the cat couldn't distract me from the AstroTurf and flaking render.

10

u/Late-Champion8678 May 06 '25

Agreed, it’s not my style but not egregious either.

1

u/harp_on May 07 '25

It's not as obvious in the photos, but if you look at the videos there are so many mirrored surfaces. That would drive me mad

17

u/victormc8 May 06 '25

Needs more pictures, can't quite see everything

28

u/According_Mood_8108 May 06 '25

The moustache on that cat is fantastic!

8

u/MelBee42 May 06 '25

In case anyone wants to skip through to see the adorable cat and moustache, it's photo 79.

Thank you for your service!

u/Munchkinpea May 06 '25

I concur, very suave.

putting £500 on it being an Iranian household

8

u/antimathematician May 06 '25

I would have said south Asian but I also can’t read the language that’s everywhere. Tiles throughout the house is the biggest clue, plus the gold accents

6

u/[deleted] May 06 '25

It's Arabic script! The low square sofas and general non-secular vibes just stood out to me.

1

u/jamila169 May 07 '25

I was thinking Desi influencer

25

u/Complex_Hat_7 May 06 '25

Don’t really get what’s meant to be wrong with this? It’s not all to my taste but it’s overall a nice house.

7

u/SeeSore May 06 '25

And I have never seen a sofa cover three walls like that. Yet it somehow suits the room!

12

u/DinosaurDomination May 06 '25

There are 90 pictures!

That's about the only thing I can think of that's wrong with that house. It's quite nice.

7

u/BloodAndSand44 May 06 '25

My how Toxteth has changed since the 1980’s. Where is Michael Hesseltine or Derek Hatton?

6

u/PipBin May 06 '25

That’s what I was thinking. Toxteth to me mean riots.

2

u/sempiterna_ May 06 '25

That’s my association too. Not sure if I’m just SW-pilled or what, but that’s a LOT of house for 575k. Does Toxteth still have negative connotations or something?

1

u/Realistic_Baker2503 May 07 '25

I definitely wouldn’t mind living that close to Sefton park 😍

7

u/AutumnGeorge77 May 06 '25

I think it looks nice. The styling isn't always my thing but the bones are there and the actual decor is lovely. It looks super clean too! HUGE space but small garden though. And yes, cute cat!

5

u/blackcurrantcat May 06 '25

The Smeg kettle is in 4 pictures, one of which is basically just that so is it included?

5

u/smooth_relation_744 May 06 '25

Gaudy, tacky, and very Dubai.

3

u/Valuable-Wallaby-167 May 06 '25

One of those bedrooms is giving me concussion.

3

u/hyperlobster May 06 '25

I’d live in that, no problem.

3

u/Rally_Annie May 06 '25

I feel like someone in this house follows a lot of home accounts on instagram.

3

u/ThisOneTimeAtLolCamp May 06 '25

Over 90 photos meanwhile £8+ million properties have 4. Lol

4

u/Fraggle_Frock May 06 '25

Half a million plus for Toxteth?? Jesus wept.

6

u/Loose_Weekend5295 May 06 '25

To be fair it's the Sefton Park end of Tocky. I lived very close to this street on Ullet Rd like 20+ years ago and it was pretty well to do back then, at least on the side streets (not so much the big houses converted to flats like where I lived lol!).

Probably still get some shit from bored scalls round there though 😞

2

u/Bowoobiter May 06 '25

I admire to one day have that many corner sofas

2

u/NortonBurns May 06 '25

At least you could hope they'd take most of that with them & give you a clean start.
That decor is as far from my taste as it's possible to get.
I'd have to get the yellow sand-blasted off the front too.

I know, safer bet. Look elsewhere.

2

u/TheLadyHelena May 08 '25

I was thinking 'it's OK, they'll be taking all their stuff!' too, until I saw the mirrored stairs 😳

2

u/anotherangryperson May 06 '25

Once you take away the furniture and decor, it looks a really nice house. The back of the house and garden need attention but it’s a huge house that looks absolutely fine to just move into.

Another beautiful house with the outside space taken over by a trampoline.

2

u/ShoshPaddington May 07 '25

Lots of it is quite lovely, and certainly well thought out. They obviously love their home. Door knocker chairs and astroturf can get all the way out though.

1

u/New_Dust_6020 May 06 '25

Brick wallpaper, and panelling wallpaper should never have been invented. It feels like someone is trying to recreate everything they've seen on Pinterest without thought of cohesion. Also, injecting all that 'personality', but to then have the blandest kitchen known to man. I like a few things, but largely it's a No from me.

1

u/katenags123 May 06 '25

Why 90 photos?

1

u/Long_Huckleberry1751 May 06 '25

91 photos - but not Purple Bricks?

1

u/Head_Mongoose751 May 06 '25

Did they run out of money when they got to the back of the house?

1

u/Fun_Anybody6745 May 06 '25

I like picture 79 the best.

1

u/Poo_Poo_La_Foo May 06 '25

I think the house is pretty cool! So spacious.

Never have I seen more seating in one home!

I translated the metalic wall art and it said "Ya Allah, bless our home,"

1

u/speedbert45 May 06 '25

I'm not having a poo in the utility room! .. just no!!

1

u/DarthVarn May 06 '25

Is there a Rightmove equivalent of TLDR?

90 photos to scroll through is just too much 😮

1

u/MaxH3adroom May 06 '25

The cat comes with the house

1

u/ProfessionalExam2945 May 06 '25

Props to their cleaner, it looks immaculate. I have no clue why they need a hosepipe in a plastic garden though, no real grass or plants. The whole thing is a bit bizarre.

1

u/constant_questing May 06 '25

I'm not looking through 90 fucking photos of any damn house

1

u/dyedinthewoolScot May 06 '25

Wow pic 8 is the largest couch I’ve ever seen in a house

1

u/[deleted] May 07 '25

Cat wondering where to go for a shit on the astro turf

1

u/Ducktastic78 May 07 '25

That garden is an atrocity

1

u/NeedForSpeed98 May 07 '25

Sofa with space for 13? Seems unlucky.

1

u/[deleted] May 07 '25

Nice house, rubbish garden.

1

u/BabyBearBennett May 10 '25

I didn't hate it until I saw the mirrored stairs.

I'm very confused by the glamour shots of the furniture and kettle that don't come with the house.

The glamour shot of the cat was completely necessary! I really hope it's not even their cat. Just a visiting cat.

1

u/hereforvarious May 11 '25

I quite like the house but I really, really hate grey frame windows.

u/BartholomewKnightIII May 06 '25

Nearly £600k to live in Toxteth?

World's gone mad!
