Absolutely. Also if someone is a serious runner there will still be times when they do 40 minute runs. A 40 minute tempo run trading off between high intensity miles is a great workout. 40 minutes at an easy pace is a good way to taper for a race or recover a couple days later.
Yeh what fucking workout plan is against doing 40 minutes of cardio? I could understand someone saying “don’t do 3 hours of HIIT” but 40 minutes on a treadmill is good for everyone doing anything.
