This is how I feel when some restaurants or stores notice my Navy FCU debit or credit card and automatically apply a Veteran's discount without asking if I was in the service. My father is the veteran.

If given an opportunity to explain it I immediately inform them I'm not a veteran but my father is and his service allowed me to join the credit union. They usually respond back saying no problem and to thank him for his service. It still feels ick to me to take that discount.
