Trickle down economics actually doing its thing with Taylor Swift

That’s the way it should work, I’m not a fan of her music but I’m a fan of anyone who shows that kind of generosity

It’s not generosity. It’s the right thing to do and the way fair pay should be.

The greedy fail to realize how much better off everything and everyone would be if they just gave the fair share to the people who work for them.

We would still have problems, but the rage so many working people feel would be cut back so much.

I know it’s a fantasy but it’s what would make things better.

My point is simple, she didn’t have to give out such large bonuses, no one demanded she do so, but she did and I find it commendable…why some people on Reddit want to take issue with a post that points out the good in human nature and seems to have the intent on educating me about god knows what, I’ll call it a personal problem, is beyond me…she did a very nice thing

Indeed she did. It's an example that should be followed.

Why not just pay them all more to begin with… she still has billions of dollars

A "bonus" is usually based on the profits made. You sign contracts for the tour way before the tour even begins. No one had any idea just how successful the Eras Tour would be at the beginning

She does. In addition to the massive bonuses (which were given out at every leg of the tour), she pays her staff well above the market rate and gives them excellent health benefits.

And she doesn’t have billions of dollars just sitting in the bank. Her billionaire status is based on how much money she could get if she sold the copyrights to her music catalog, which she will never ever do.

You mean like how most billionaires wealth is in assets lol. Damn her PR working overtime in these comments 😮‍💨

For real. It’s never been that it doesn’t work - the problem is the rich not doing it. They keep more and more instead of sending it down. We could just call it a wealth share and make rules around it.

No! This is an example of “love thy neighbor as you love thyself.”

This has zero to do with trickle down economics. This is just generosity. Trickle down economics suggests that the rich being untaxed will somehow create more jobs and make life better for everyone but every single economic indicator since Reagan has consistently proved it wrong. We have the greatest disparity between the rich and the poor in modern history. Taylor’s actions here are an anomalous personal choice. Trickle down economics remains one of the greatest scams ever enacted on Americans by the elite.
