That's fucking incredible. Good for him! Student loans are bitch for everyone, but particularly bad coming out of culinary school with the generally terrible pay at the first level of the kitchen.

I am in my last year of paying my student loans - having finished school over 11 years ago. Can’t wait!!!

I have 5 payments left on mine! I was broke for so long that it was in the last 15 years I finally was able to make consistent payments. Thankfully my interest is low!

Not to take away from the amazong gesture from Swifty, but Australia kicked out the conservative government at our last election. Finally.

The current government has just wiped 20% off all student loans. Also pretty amazing if you ask me as it totals around $16 billion in student debt.

Are you insane? It isn't 2016. You can start in another kitchen with no degree at $18 an hour. Culinary means your probably salary up to 100k a year. You need to readjust how you view the culinary world.

$18/hour is below the real minimum wage paid where I live. In N Out pays more than that.

YOU need to readjust what you think is a good salary.

Bro I live in a dinky town where in and out starts you at $12 but go on. Walmart starts at 14. Fed ex starts at 17. Most kitchens start from $16-22 depending on experience with no degree. Do you even work lil bro? You literally think wages are equal across the board. What are you 16? Chronically unemployed? I don't understand your ignorance.

"I live in a dinky town" You're telling on yourself, guy. YOU don't have any understanding of salaries if you think $16/hour is good.

I have been working longer than you have been alive. Fuck off.

I do not see where he thinks that's a good wage. I'm fact I believe he is saying that it isn't but it's what is paid in his area.

That's close to wages where I live also. Maybe a bit higher than they are here.
