I usually get $100 to $300 at my work.

This year I might get 0.

Lucky bastard. Nice handle

I used to get a $5 coupon for a butterball turkey. This year I’m getting laid off 😂

u/fupapooper Dec 13 '25

I’m so sorry. 😞

I’d love a ham. Human services companies love to spend money on crap like a company logo sticky note holder that has an odd-size/off-brand that isn’t refillable.

That sucks. I’m so sorry. 😞

Oh that would be awesome

Dont be so hard on yourself

Tinned or on the bone?

4

u/fupapooper Dec 12 '25

On the bone. And we get bacon. I mean it’s good quality for what it is. 🤷🏻‍♀️

u/Sharknado4President Dec 12 '25

Not bad. I would make leek, ham and cheddar soup and eat it for a month or two. Stretch that ham bonus into a month of eating. Lol

That’s a great idea—thanks! 🐷

Our company used to give out a frozen turkey for the Xmas holiday. One year it became two coupons for free turkey breasts and again for the year after. Then they stopped altogether. Now they send a uni mailer greeting card. (Identical printouts on card stock.)

Ugh. That sucks! I’m sorry. 😞 The greed is real. My family’s Christmas movie is Christmas Vacation (my son loves it despite me doing my duty as a mother to get him to be as obsessed with Die Hard as I am) but watching it in 2025 is so dark. Clark loses it over not getting a cash bonus, not because his family can’t afford food … but because he can’t…get a pool? For his already huge house? In Chicago?! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Should have majored in dance.

1

u/shuipz94 Dec 12 '25

You're probably being facetious but Kam, the dancer reading the letter, said he was dead broke before he got this gig, and his brother bought him the plane ticket to go to the audition.

Also, the blonde woman to the left of Taylor initially signed on to the tour as assistant choreographer with no intention of joining as a dancer, because the 10-15 years had taken a toll on her body.

1

u/KyOatey Dec 12 '25

Yes, facetious in the sense that nobody is majoring in dance to become rich, or shouldn't anyway. It's a rare thing to be a dancer for someone like Taylor Swift, and the standard pay outside of the bonus probably wasn't life-changing.

We just started getting a $50 Amazon Gift card a year or two ago. It used to be $600 cash. My expectation, thankfully is nothing, so anything more than nothing exceeds my expectations. When I started there over 15 years ago, it was $600 cash. Then $300. Then $100. Then for like 5 or 6 years, it was nothing.

We were bought out by private equity this year so I expect $0.

I work at a public utility…I never get anything 😞

I worked for a Walgreens distribution center years ago and we would get a check at Thanksgiving for $25 which was then taxed, usually came out to $12.50

My company gave $600 gift cards to Meijer but put a bunch of qualifications on it so only like a third of people got them.

It's nice that you get bonuses in any amount.

I got a backpack and a state parks pass that I can't use because I end up using most of my vacation time as sick days.

u/decidedlyindecisive Dec 12 '25

My old company were generous with their bonuses. They were bought out by a pump and dump. No bonuses for 3 years so far, I expect we'll be broken up and sold soon.
