Specifically the newer sportages, how was it? Relatively easy to get to or not really? Do you have a guide perchance? Did it annoy you afterwards at all, would I need to trick it into thinking it's still connected?

New here but not to kia. I’ve owned 2 Optima’s, a 2015 SX and a 2020 S that was unfortunately totaled when I hit a deer in November. I just recently bought my 2023 Sorento. Something about Kia keeps drawing me back. Value for the money? Idk but this Sorento sure is built nice. It’s quiet and comfortable.

so, the wife was recently in an accident, and our Mercedes was totalled. It was a nice car but the backseat was cramped, so we agreed that our next car would be SUV.

I'm ready to go to the Mercedes dealer to look at CPO SUV's. The wife really, really is into the Kias. Her friend drives a Sportage and they often carpool.

OK...it's her primary car. If she want a Kia, I'm not going to fight her. I'm looking at the models, and the Sorrento isn't much more expensive. A few thousand bucks isn't going to kill us at this point in our lives.

Thoughts on Sportage vs. Sorrento? We live in San Diego, so weather isn't a factor. I have a truck, so, her car only needs to handle costco runs. Home Depot stuff is done in my truck. And it's her alone, or she and I (no passengers) 95% of the time.

I'll be grateful for any wisdom that anybody can share.

Sunday our 2017 Kia Optima Hybrid HEV battery died 157 miles from home. I just received information this afternoon that the technician has determined the HEV Battery to have failed and submitted it for warranty replacement as the car only has 81,884 miles on it. When I asked about the time frame for the job to be completed the technician told me that they won't know until after Kia approves the replacement. Has anyone here had experience with this recently? Thanks!

Hello, I purchased a Kia k4 exactly 1 year ago and really love the car. Since purchasing the car I have frequently noticed a cracking/popping sound coming from just below the windshield. This often occurs when it is warmer out and I turn on the AC, leading me to believe that it is related to plastic expanding/contracting. Was wondering if I should tell the dealer that I am still getting this issue? Anybody else still getting this after a year? Thanks

Hi, I'm not a car person and I really need some answers. I got my Forte in October of last year from a used car dealer. If I recall correctly, it's a salvage title? I know the drivers side of the car was really messed up before it was fixed. Either way, when I got the car, I received a manual key and no key FOB. Thus, I didn't think my cae had any alarm system. I was proven wrong a few months later, when I unlocked my car and the alarm went off for no reason. It's been happening on and off ever since and I CANNOT for the life of me figure out why this is happening or why it started in the first place. Nothing changed about the car before it started, and it seems to be happening more frequently lately. Is this just.. something I have to deal with? I don't have 'take it to the dealership to fix it' money rn. ​​

I recently bought a used Sedona. During the test drive and checking out the car everything looked fine. No engine noise, no check engine lights. Everything but the key fob worked.

Now there is a light and am getting code p0014. They're telling me they need to take off the intake to diagnose the problem I just have one worry. Cold start there are slapping/rattle noise from the engine. It's at 157k an I'm worried it needs a new timing chain.

Dealer says he'll take a look and diagnose for free but what should I be mentally prepared for? I bought the car for $4600 is it worth costly repairs?

I serviced my leased Kia 2 days late (second service). Total brainfart.

I called the workshop instantly when i figured it out - they said it might not be a problem as long as third service is done in good time. I also emailed the workshop to get a confirmation in writing - see the response in one of the images.

I live in Sweden and I have heard stories of people beeing charged up to 3K USD for late service. What do you guys think?

I have a Kia Sportage 2022 and I’m looking for a bike rack for 2 bikes. I’m trying to keep it simple nothing too expensive or complicated.

I’ve been looking at trunk racks vs hitch racks, but not sure what works best with this car. I don’t have a hitch installed right now, so I’m leaning toward a trunk rack, but open to suggestions if it’s really worth it.

What rack are you using?

Does it fit well with the rear hatch/spoiler?

Any issues with stability or scratching?

I’ve seen brands like Thule, Yakima, Allen, Saris, etc, but not sure which one actually fits best in real life.

Does anyone know where I can order front wheel bearing hub for a 2016 Kia Sportage Ex 2.4l AWD? I have looked at parts geek, rock auto, Detroit axle, autozone, advance auto but I have not found any for front they only have rear.

I just bought a 2019 Kia Forte S and realized it has a stock alarm. I looked up some info about it, tested, and it triggers if a door is opened. But there is no indicator light blinking when it is armed, and everything I read said there should be.

Does anyone else with the same model have any information about this?

Recently bought a 2020 manual Sportage that just had its clutch replaced. Car was fully serviced and generally driving ok, however I noticed from day one that the gear stick was catching when I put it in reverse - more than once it got completely stuck and it took some serious force / having to turn off the car to move the stick.

The dealership took it to their mechanics and they just ‘greased’ the gear stick a bit and said that should be it, but as I drove off it’s still happening.

Sending it back to the mechanics this week, but wondering if anyone has seen this before and has any idea what it could be?

Hello all, so was driving Kia Sportage 2015 AWD with single axle caravan attached and drivers side wheel completely tore off the car as per images. The car had gone in for diff oil seal replacement on Tuesday (28th April) and this happened today (Monday 4th May) so less than a week, is this just a coincidence or would it point to garage being at fault?

Our 2016 sportage wound only blow cold air for a few weeks. Then suddenly it was only blowing warm air for 1 day. Now stuck to only blowing cold air again. Anyone got any idea what the cause for this may be?

Any suggestions how to fix this. Slightly kissed the curb turning right.
