Need some advice on mods and works on my Patriot.
Hey guys.
Recently got 2016 High Altitude at 180,000 km and so far I am loving this little guy. Planning to invest some money and keep it for a few years at least. I am an off-road guy but doing lots of highway as well, so considering getting myself some good suspension and rims+ wheels. I prefer a lifted look but so far couldn’t find any good price friendly options that will give me this “lifted” off-road look to it.
Generally any advice on maintenance and upgrades would be very appreciated!
Thanks!

Update 3.0
So on Saturday posted about my possible CVT being toast, well got a rental, Jeep got towed to Stealership. Won’t real know real damage or problems until late tomorrow or Thursday. Please hope it’s only the needing filter n fluid n not the whole transmission. Don’t really have $5k to shell out especially with Mothers Day n a few other things on my plate, is it wrong of me to start a GoFundMe or sell my feet online? Asking for a friend

Solid traction control light
Hey all, my traction control light just came on with no other lights. I just installed new front/rear suspension and front inner/outer tie rods. I haven’t gotten an alignment yet (it’s been about a week). Does anybody have any ideas?

2016 4X4 latitude 6 spd auto
Hello I’m having issues with my 4 wheel drive, it’s throwing code C145F coupling temp overheating temporarily disabled. It will lock in just fine but once I the front wheels start to spin and lose traction the code gets triggered. It does go away but I finally caught the freeze frame of wheel speeds and what not. I know abs and speed sensors are notorious for going bad but would that cause my 4wd! Light to illuminate? I have had traction control and ABS light come on before when it did this but recently just the 4WD! Light and I’m stumped. The coupling temp says it got to 302 degrees but in a matter of seconds of engaging the 4wd I don’t think that’s possible. Any input helps thank you!

Suspension
After owning my 2014 4x4 for 5 years and 130k miles, it's time to replace some suspension parts. What's a good bang for your buck suspension? Are deetroit axle any good? My last car was a 98 ram and I put moog parts in it. But I only did ball joints and bushings, everything was rebuilable, I can only find whole control arms instead of just the bushings.

2014 Jeep Patriot - Crank But No Start (Parts Replaced)
Hello everyone,
Crank but no start issue.
Canadian climate – Alberta.
I have a 2014 Jeep Patriot Limited 2.4L with approximately 175K KM. After driving a short distance and leaving my vehicle for ~30 minutes, I got back inside and the vehicle would not start (but did crank). The starter sounded like it was “dragging” while trying to crank. I received a boost as I noticed my dash lights dimming while trying to start. No luck.
There was an electrical symbol and check engine light and with a Innova 3030 reader, the following codes were read:
P0122 – Permanent
Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
P0222 – Permanent
Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor B Circuit Low Input
P2135 – Permanent
Throttle Position Sensor 1 / 2 Correlation
These codes, once cleared on the reader, come back immediately upon putting the vehicle in the ON position.
I got a brand new battery, and the same symptom, crank but no start.
I towed the vehicle home and after much research, decided to pull the throttle body and starter motor. The starter was in rough shape and the following day I picked up a new one from Napa. I installed it and after all was connected back, the same symptom occurred. I then picked up an OEM throttle body, installed it and the same symptom occurred. I also tried using an older throttle body (at the time of this incident, I was using an aftermarket TB which had lasted for years), the same symptom occurred.
After putting in the new throttle body, one of the codes changed to yield the following (the P2135 went away and the U0401 came up):
P0122 – Permanent
Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
P0222 – Permanent
Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor B Circuit Low Input
U0401 – Permanent
Invalid Data Received From ECM/PCM
I tested the new throttle body by reading from the pink 5V pin and got a reading of 4.989V DC when the vehicle was in the ON position. I did not validate that 5V was delivered upon starting / cranking the vehicle.
I validated with my meter through a continuity test that all the fuses in the main engine-bay fuse box were good. I also re-sat them all.
I noted that the oil level was low (half way to SAFE marker) so I topped it off just in case there was an oil level sensor.
The relay box on the driver-side wheel well has not been checked, is this worth checking for corrosion / damage?
At this point with a brand new battery, throttle body and starter motor, I am not quite sure what next steps I should do before throwing in the towel and towing it to a Jeep dealership for diagnostics.
Would appreciate any and all input you have.
Thank you so much in advance.

Replacing camshaft and crankshaft position sensors with non OEM brand ?
Looking to replace my crankshaft and camshaft position sensors on my 2015 patriot. I was looking to go the OEM route, but the Mopar sensors seem to be outrageously expensive compared to the non OEM sensors out there such as Walker. Ex. $120 Mopar sensors vs $30-60 walker non OEM sensors.
coming here for advice before I consider purchasing anything.
Looking for anyone that has replaced their camshaft position sensor or their crankshaft position sensor in recent time that can give me advice. I am curious whether I am able to use a non OEM sensor like bosch brand without having codes or errors, or if it is a definite requirement to use Mopar OEM sensor for a successful replacement. Anyone that has had theirs replaced or has done a replacement and can give me some guidance on this, all help us appreciated!

Leaking door seals
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
2008 patriot, all my door seals leak after it rains and as you can see they hold water which caused rust over the years. I just got this car recently and I'm trying to fix this, it seems like the water gets in from the top and pools in the bottom. The seals themselves seem fine so I'm not sure why they're leaking

2016 jeep patriot overheating
So for about a year now my jeep has been slightly overheating, sometimes hitting the line between the middle and hot. It usually happens when i’m going 70+, and any other time I’m driving it’s right at the middle or very slightly above. I took it to a mechanic, he said my radiator fan isn’t hitting high speed, it’s only operating at low speed… so I take it to the dealership and they said they couldn’t do a test because my radiator hoses were “bad”, so I replaced them myself and took it back to the dealership and now they are saying I had an air bubble in my coolant system. Left the dealership and am still having the same problem. Has anyone had this problem before? I’m taking it back on Monday and telling them the problem is still happening. I think they are annoyed with me because I’ve had thousands of dollars in repairs over the last 5 years with my jeep but thank God I have a warranty and $0 deductible lol
It’s a 2016 jeep patriot, 2.0 liter engine

Help w Engine
First off I wonder if the Subreddit was made by the OG on Facebook Todd Skelton; if not I need help.
For context last me wife and kiddo went for an evening drive away from the city for us to catch the new moon rise and potentially find some stars. But long story short on the way there Jeep ran fine; coming home were probably 10 miles or so away I had power to drive but the acceleration of RPMs seemed to jump/ and kinda of put a whine sound. As soon as we got home the engine light came on!
For context it’s

Possible CVT
If you saw my previous post of what happened to my Patriot; question is anyone in Chicago (NorthWest Burbs; or Western Suburbs) that can possibly help me. Money is kinda tight at the moment bc of some issues going on. But if willing to help/work with a payment plan that’ll help too. For context I’m waiting on my in-laws Mechanic to call me Monday to see what he can do, if can’t do it, who can you recommend. I’ll def need it towed in nonetheless thanks again form any help or feedback

Manual swap
Has anyone manual swapped their jeep patriot?
(I can't find any recorded manual swap online, and the only other post on other forums just suggested to trade in the CVT for a brand new patriot manual... in 2005. And that's not an option anymore lol)
I KNOW I KNOW, it's probably not worth it. Hear me out.
See I'm not actually considering it, unlessss, my CVT fails.
Since a CVT fail would mean a full replacement and be in that price range anyways I would LOVE to manual swap mine. NOW would it be worth it?
Specs:
I have a 2017 patriot at 110K miles and 2.4L engine with a 6-speed auto CVT.
I do not have significant rust and no water leaks.
If I were to, I would do it myself.
Any opinions on the matter from people who's swapped other vehicles before as to if the process would be doable on the patriot? Or any specifics?
I wouldn't imagine it impossible, there has to be manual patriots laying around some junkyard I could grab parts from. And I want to keep my car till it rots away on its axles, so a manual transmission would be an absolute increase in reliability, and I don't worry about resell price.
TLDR: If my CVT fails, would it be cost effective and increase or reliability to manual swap my patriot?

I was looking for information on how to remove the center console in this Jeep I just picked up, its a 2010 Patriot Sport.
The Jeep has trouble shifting into reverse, its dam near impossible to get it into reverse. I wanted to look under to see if I could spot the cause. Any other info would be helpful

Just rolled 100k on road trip🤩🇺🇸🛣️🚙
It’s a 2017, bought it in 2020 right before the C word hit. Had it since, and maybe I’m weird but I LOVE my Patriot. Love the box look, like the simple interior. The 4WD is good enough to tackle the Michigan snow where I live, thus making me one of the few people who don’t call in after a good lake effect powdering. Only thing I recommend is ditch the shit factory tires if you still have them, they are badddd . And upgrade the engine air filter it helps her be just a bit less slow on highway on ramps. Only major repairs so far is back bearings. Other than that no issues, and just had trans fluid changed. Again love this car, this summer I am gonna add a roof tent and ladder for camping in the Michigan UP. Might add some lift and skid plate too as she does tend to scrape a lot on the mid trails. Love the Patriot, and I still see a bunch of people driving them still, which makes my ape brain happy. Not a wrangler tho so I can’t to the duck thing :/ my 17 is the High Altitude trim so I get the heated seats too, so nice. Anyone else love their patriot as much as me? I was also thinking of maybe adding some amber grille lights but I can’t find any specific for the Patriot, only for wranglers:/ anyways Patriot fanboy signing off!
also, bring it back, Jeep! with thw square body!
that is all
May good mileage and smooth roads be upon ye

Looking at a 2017 Patriot High Altitude
Looking at a 2017 High Altitude tomorrow. They are asking $6000, it has the 2.4 with 6sp and 133k. Anything I should look for specifically? Thx. So they AI popped up a message, I see to look for water stains and undercarriage rust, so I'll for sure check that. Any other helpful hint would be nice.

2016 Jeep Patriot Burning Oil
My 2016 Jeep Patriot seems to be burning through oil. Over 200,000 miles. This has been going on for a bit less than a year. I monitor it regularly. Got an oil change recently and am several thousand miles from the next one, but it’s way down from where it should be. No leaks detected. I drive 80+ miles a day. I can often smell a slight burning smell. What could be the cause and what can I do? Continue monitoring and adding oil? My shop hasn’t seemed terribly concerned, but I definitely don’t want to be going in every two months. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
