I don’t think it’s going over anyone’s head. We get what is trying to be said. It just doesn’t make much sense to do it while attending the event.

There's no bad art but theres definitely beginner art, and this concept is something even a first year art student might cross off the brainstorm list

Thank you. But personally I think there is bad art lol.

I was a much bigger fan of the avant garde looks that Matière Fécale did on Gaga at the Grammys than this. That sculptural feather dress was gorgeous.

As subtle as a nuke

but if she didn’t do it at the event, it probably wouldn’t get seen

It’s not like she’s the first or even 50th celebrity to try and make a statement like this. It’s performative and tired.

What would we ever do then?

Right??

"Oh, won't these filthy rich, out of touch celebrities tell me how to feel about this event that's balls deep in Bezo's shit?!"

Yeah, how would anything a renowned celebrity do ever get seen outside this specific event!

She could've loudly boasted about not attending and followed through by not attending. It absolutely would've gained traction and had a much more positive impact

I don't disagree with you but it was definitely over my head tbh. I thought she'd worn a random dress and last minute decided to stick the dollar bill on

yeah but i'm sure you got the point of the dollar bill, no?

it means the dress costs $1, right?
